I recently got a utility kilt from UTKilts which is very good. I’ve been using it to work on the yard and plan to hike in it. I like it and have worn it to the store here and there. Generally speaking, guys comment that the like it, but I have yet to speak to a woman who does. They tolerate it, or make a comment that reflects they don’t hate it, but there is no affirmation or appreciation.

Is that the case for others out there?

Granted; I’m American living in Southern California and kilts are only seen on tv or movies, never in real life. Add to it, I’m wearing a non-traditional kilt, so it’s seen less as a costume or worn ironically.

Do others share this experience?

Edit: I should be clear, my intention is not to gain attention or that I’m disappointed that more men are complimenting the kilt. It is simply my very short observation. I have an upcoming gig where I intend to wear my traditional kilt and I’ll report back what I notice.

I live in Orange County and I want to get my kids excited about hiking. To hold their attention and get them focused on anything but complaining, I want a bingo card, identification sheet, or flash cards for plants, trees, and flowers in the So-Cal area.

1. does this exist, and where can i get/ download it, or

2. If you were to make a list of the top 20 most common plants/ trees/ flowers on so-cal hikes, which would you put on the list and I'll make a sheet for my kids (and anyone else who wants it).

Im looking for a 5 string open back banjo with tunneled 5th string and slotted headstock. I’m somewhat open to the tone ring, but want something warm and mellow. Am I doomed to have to order a custom, or are there makers that already have something like this?

Therapist with a slowly disintegrating back here. Looking to replace my big office in person therapy chair and my desk teletherapy chair with ones that will support my back and make me hate my life and body less. What are you using? Money is of no concern here because if I can’t sit and focus I can’t do therapy. I’m willing to shell out the dollars.

I’m new to kilts. I’m also not Scottish, but I love the look and play in a bluegrass band that does Irish and Scottish fiddle/ traditional music. We also play some jazz and progressive originals, so we are hardly traditional.

I’m considering this kilt because of the regular pants pockets, less overwhelming cargo pockets, and adjustability above other similar brands.

For those who have tried it, how does it feel, look, and move in real life? Is it decent quality? What other kilts should I consider? Thanks!

Looking for suggestions for best things to do either booking through the ship or things you’ve done at these ports that you’d recommend. Going on navigator of the seas in July.
