SEO is changing faster than ever it seems. With AI search, Google AI Overviews, user experience, topical authority, and technical SEO becoming more important, it feels like the old strategies aren’t cutting it anymore.

If you had to pick one SEO trend every marketer, business owner or SEO beginner should be focusing on in 2026, what would it be and why?

Is it AI optimisation, great content, technical SEO, topical authority, brand building, or something else?

I'm a 1st-Year BTech Student and Want to Learn App Development. Where Should I Start?

Hello everyone,

I am a first year BTech student and I want to pursue a career in app development. I'm new to coding and a little confused about where to start.

Should I learn Java or Kotlin for Android development first, or should I go for Flutter? Which one is better? There are lots of tutorials and roadmaps out there, it is hard to know which one to follow.

I want to learn the right way, build real projects and have a strong portfolio through college. If you were starting from scratch today, what would your roadmap be? Any free resources, tips or mistakes to avoid would be really helpful.

What's the best investment you've made in your tech career?

The best investment for me was not money, it was building real projects. Tutorials taught me the basics but building my own applications taught me how to solve problems, debug code and think like a developer. Those projects also became my portfolio and helped me to stand out in interviews. In the end, experience working in the real world has been worth a lot more than any certificate or pricey gadget.

What is your best investment in your tech career?

How Can I Switch from SEO to Performance Marketing?

I have around 5+ years of experience in SEO and have also managed some Meta Ads campaigns. While I enjoy SEO, I feel that performance marketing offers better career growth, higher salaries, and more opportunities.

Now I want to transition completely into performance marketing, but I'm not sure where to start. I already understand marketing fundamentals, analytics, and conversions from my SEO background, but I know there's a lot more to learn, especially with Google Ads, media buying, campaign optimization, attribution, and scaling.

Would you recommend buying an online course, or is it better to learn through free resources and hands-on practice? If you've made a similar switch, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Some questions I have:

  • Which skills should I learn first?
  • Are there any courses that are actually worth paying for?
  • How can I build practical experience without already working in a performance marketing role?
  • How long does it typically take for someone with an SEO background to become job-ready in performance marketing?

Any advice or roadmap would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Help Help Help

I have 6 years of experience in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, and Facebook Ads. I have worked on different projects and gained good experience, but I still feel that the salary growth in this field is not as good as I expected.

Recently, I have been thinking about switching my career to Data Analytics because I hear there are better growth opportunities and salary packages. However, I am not sure if this is the right decision at this stage of my career.

Is anyone here working in Data Analytics or Digital Marketing? I would really appreciate your advice. Is it worth switching from digital marketing to data analytics? How is the job market, growth, and salary potential compared to Digital Marketing?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Why Experienced SEO Professionals Still Struggle to Earn High Salaries Compared to Other IT Fields

SEOs help businesses grow through organic traffic, leads, and revenue — and yet many experienced SEOs still make less than the professionals in development, AI, cloud computing, or data science.

Today’s SEO needs Technical SEO, Content Strategy, Analytics, Automation and AI-Driven Search. Yet, a great many companies still see SEO as a support function, not as a core driver of the business.

Is SEO undervalued in the IT industry? What skills or specialisation have helped you get better salary growth? Would love to hear other SEO pros / hiring managers experiences.

Why Experienced SEO Professionals Still Struggle to Secure High-Paying Packages Compared to Other Tech Fields

Why are experienced SEO professionals not getting the high paying packages like other tech domains?

SEO drives traffic, leads and revenue, yet many skilled SEO experts with years of experience still earn less than professionals in development, AI, cloud computing or data science. Is this because SEO is perceived as a marketing function, not a technical one? Or are companies unable to directly measure the impact of SEO on revenue?

I’d be interested to hear from SEO pros and hiring managers. What skills, specialisations or career moves have helped increase earning potential in SEO?

How Are You Generating Leads from SEO After the Rise of AI Search?

I’ve noticed that it’s much harder now to get leads from SEO than it was a few years ago. In fact, rankings and traffic are good, but conversions don’t seem to be growing at the same pace.

What’s really working for you today with AI Overviews, zero-click searches, and more competition?

Are you more about brand building, topical authority, community engagement or what?

Would love to hear what is working for you to generate quality leads from organic traffic in 2026.

If You Could Restart Your Career at 30, What Would You Choose?

I'm in my 30s and often wonder if I'd make the same career choices if I could do it all over today.

Would you stay in your current profession, start a business, or learn something completely different with AI, changing job markets, and new opportunities appearing every year?

What career decision would you like to have made earlier and what advice would you give your 30-year-old self?

SEO in 2026: A Long-Term Career or a Changing Landscape?

I have been in SEO for few years now and I have been wondering lately if SEO alone is enough for long term career growth. As AI changes search behaviour, Google’s constant updates and the growing importance of content, analytics and automation, the SEO professional’s role feels like it’s changing quickly.

Is SEO still a safe career path for the next 5-10 years or should professionals start expanding into areas like AI marketing, data analytics, CRO, PPC or marketing automation? I would love to hear from people who have adapted their skill set or even changed to a related field. What skills will you be building in 2026 to remain relevant and competitive?

My parents bought a house on one salary. I can’t buy one with two incomes

Growing up, I thought hard work would be enough to buy a home someday.
Now I see my parents bought a house with one income, while we struggle with two.
The dream didn’t get bigger… the distance did.
