Hit the big 1 in the 401K, and I don’t have anyone to tell.

Humble brag, but I’ve been following posts here for a long time and became super motivated seeing the success stories. Pretty frugal my entire life and finally starting to see it pay off. Self-made, no inheritance, non-tech/IB. Keys for me were consistently saving until it HURT, living well below my means, taking risks, and not losing focus even after taking a 6-figure loss.

4x leverage with margin. My god, this guy will go down in history as one of the dumbest gamblers of all time. He got lucky last year with his AI picks. But the dude blew all off with borrowed money on 4x leverage.

Also he bet big on AI with leverage. And he also shorted software stocks. He got burnt on both sides.

Last time I read about him. He sounded like a genius. He kept his long position in stocks like MU, Nbis but he also hedged with short term options. That's the perfect strategy. I never thought he would be this mess.

I also use margin but I have never got margin called. Margin is not that scary if you use in a controlled amount like 20-30% of your equity. Plus Robinhood margin is only 4.5% interest.
