Can we expect a full time seat for Martin Sesks in M-Sport?

While he hasn't achieved the best finishing results in all the rallies he has attended so far, he has shown some really good pace and achieved flashes of speed. Hope to see him get that full time seat in M-Sport with the new regulations next year.

Is the lack of engine diversity actually holding back manufacturers/teams from joining?

Idk if youve seen the recent post about engine specs within this subreddit, but it got me thinking. Are the current and new engine restrictions holding back any potential teams and manufacturers from joining the WRC? Because while I would love for more different kinds of engines to return to the WRC, there are legitimate reasons preventing that from happening.

Any new drivers that may potentially join the WRC?

With new teams starting to pop up and hopefully more coming along the way for the new regulations, its obvious theres likely going to be a new influx of drivers having a seat in the top class. Whether it be from the WRC2, JWRC, or even outside of the WRC. So Im wondering what drivers you guys have in mind that may join the WRC someday or soon.

My pick would def be Jaspar Vaher. The guy is only 19 years old and was leading the Rally of Scandinavia in the ERC up until he lost control and crashed on stage 12 of 16. The WRC def needs to give him a seat on the sport for young talent like him.

Can mid-engine layouts work for a modern rally car?

Aside from regulations, there are major problems as to why mid-engine rally cars wont work, and the last we've seen from them is 40 years ago during the Group B era. But with how much rallying technology has changed in those past 4 decades, do you guys think its possible for a WRC car to have a mid-engine layout and make it work? Curious to hear some insights as to whether or not its possible.

Why cant the WRC bring back different tire manufacturers?

Ive just watched the ERC Royal Rally of Scandinavia qualifying since I plan to start watching the European Rally Championship, and Ive noticed on the different tire brands of Michelin, Pirelli, Hankook and MRF being used by the teams instead of exclusively using one tire brand like in the WRC.

This got me thinking, why cant the WRC stop exclusively using one tire manufacturer and instead bring back different tire brands being used by teams? While I am aware on the use of only one tire manufacturer (keeping competition fair, reducing costs, preventing tire wars), I believe the problems of having different tire manufacturers in the WRC could be resolved by having the tires from these companies be strictly regulated and tested in order for them to perform the same way. Unless theyve already done that or that Im missing something important, feel free to correct me.

What will be the new manufacturer joining the WRC?

If you guys have seen that one post within this subreddit about how the new promoter basically wants the WRC to be more like F1, it also mentions on a new European manufacturer (thats not Lancia) planning to join next year for the new regulations and will be announced in June. Ive also learned that the announcement will happen after Rally Japan and before Rally Rally Greece, basically confirming that it will happen next month (although Im unsure on the credibility of that one).

With all this in mind, what manufacturer do you guys think will be announced in joining the WRC? Im also curious to see if they will be full time or part time and whether they will start at the beginning of the season.

Any other advice for cornering?

My usual way of approaching a corner is to simply just apply the brakes and shift the gears appropriate to how tight the corner is. I may even uss the handbrake if the corner is tight enough. Pretty simple and standard stuff. Yet, I feel like Im missing something when it comes to approaching corners in the game, both in gravel and asphalt. Is there any more I need to know or is that all there is to it? Because I hope to sharpen my cornering skills better if you guys have anything more to say.

Could Armstrong and McErlean be better under the new regulations next year?

Armstrong and McErlean are obviously not the best drivers in the current Rally1category, despite them showing some form of promise. However, I have this thought for a bit of a while now that even if their skills are not suited for the current Rally1 cars, their performance could be even better under the new cars next year.

The reason I believe this is that since the new regulations are basically turning Rally1 cars into that of something like Rally2+, and with M-Sport not building a WRC27 car yet and upgrading their Rally2 Fiestas, we could likely see an improvement in their performance considering their past experience with Rally2 machinery and with the remaining experience theyll gain for the rest of the season before the new regulations take place.

Of course, there are major factors to consider such as the other drivers having better skills and experience as the top class. Even then, we could still see a boost in their performance next year with machinery that they are alreadu familiar with. But these are just my opinions on what could likely happen, and I do hope for them to stick around for M-Sport longer. What do you guys think?
