First time with a printed mini: Teifling Sword Dancer.
A print of Kareen by Black Bird Miniatures. So far I have just used Wizkid's Heroclix and Mage Knight as practice, it's astounding the difference a good sculpt makes lol.

Long story short... Im playing Final Fantasy X again.
Working on the base atm, but after coating the mini with primer I noticed her outfit looked a bit similar so... now I'm replaying Final Fantasy X.
Repainting Mage Knight and Heroclix to something I can use for DnD. Got a long way to go but learning more on each one I paint. I started using some Citadel shades but I have a feeling for shading purposes it's best to use them early in the layering process so it doesn't mute the layers as bad?
Been practicing with techniques and paints, splurged on some Citadel Shades (washes), tried some on a repaint of a Con Artist into Android 18 from DBZ. I feel conflicted lol.
Ive been recently repainting my Mage Knight clix and finally broke down and got a bottle of Nuln Oil... that wash is worth every penny.
First Image is my repaint post wash. Second my repaint prewash, and last the factory paint.
Second attempt at a mini paint, used Krylon Spray Primer and cheap Acrylics. I know Icovered the dials but I have the original so I can just use it on the side lol. I wanted to experiment with base building. Original paint job at the end.
My second attempt at mini painting, a long way to go but progress is progress. Original factory paint job attached at the end.
Very first attempt to paint a mini. I primed with Krylon Primer and used cheap off the box mart Acrylics to paint. It was a learning experience but learning as I go. I included the original paint job for comparison. Now working on a Zombie Centaur from Mage Knight.
