Pretty good article. Mike gets pretty specific in this article about which drugs he was using back in ‘93-‘94. Does anyone remember him being this specific in the past? I feel like I always heard him just say “alcohol and drugs”.

Interesting interview with Louis Foster. My biggest takeaway was how disruptive Mick’s presence has been to the other drivers on the team, mostly in terms of resources being diverted to him. I don’t think he blames Mick, but he is resentful about the situation. I get the impression he can’t wait for next year, assuming he’s one of the two cars still there. He pretty well says as much. Other topics include his INDYCAR learning curve, SIM impressions of Markam and DC, the IR-28, hybrid tech, and racing in the truck series. It’s the most in-depth interview with him that I’ve heard and he seems like a pretty good dude.
I searched this sub to see if this has been posted this week, or ever, and I haven’t found it. Apologies if this is a repeat.
During COVID, Glen turned 50 and I think he did some sort of livestream. During the stream, he did FaceTime with Eddie Vedder and it’s just the loveliest 15 minutes or so of deep friendship on display.
At about the halfway mark (8:15 or so) Eddie reads a tribute to Glen that he wrote and uses these wonderful pictures to make poetic analogies about Glen’s 50 years (I won’t spoil it). It’s all very celebratory but to watch it now feels like a eulogy (minus anything about Glen’s son who wasn’t born yet). It’s beautiful and Glen takes it so humbly, of course. Please take the time to watch it. We’ll miss you Glen and all the rings you don’t get to add…
My teen daughter’s new puppy needs a name. Interests include anything French or Italian, F1, food, soccer.

Random thought: I’m surprised that the Fox promos for today’s race don’t mention that Palou is a Spaniard, given that they are trying to get the post Spain WC game bump. (At least not the ones I’ve seen). Maybe it wouldn’t make a difference but just seems obvious. That is all.
