Migraines Log Format? What format does the log need to look like? What do VA raters like to see?

I am filing my VA Claim for Migraines as a secondary to my Anxiety. I was told I need to have a log. I get 2-3 migraines a month. What format does the log need to look like? What do VA raters like to see?

How many evidence files is too many for a VA claim? (86 PDFs, 96.5MB)

Filing a claim for feet, knees, back, bruxism, and tinnitus. I've got 86 separate PDF files totaling 96.5MB, STRs, private doctor records, VA summary care notes, and VA messages.

Is 86 files too many to submit?

I've seen advice to merge down to 5 to 10 PDFs total, one or two per category, each in chronological order with a cover page/table of contents, and to trim out irrelevant pages rather than dumping full records. Does that match what worked for you, or is there a better way to organize this? Trying to find the sweet spot between "give them everything" and "organized enough that a rater won't miss something."

DLA Battle Creek, Michigan questions! DLA questions! Looking for new opportunities

Does anybody work at DLA Battle Creek?

I have been seeing a lot of GS 12/GS 13/GS 14 positions (job series 0343) for program management at DLA Battle Creek. Does anybody have any insight on this career field for the DLA?

What’s the scoop on teleworking at DLA Battle Creek?

I live 1.5 hours away and wondering if it would be worth pursuing and analyzing if it would be worth the driver or not.

Seeking career advice on how to make transition to from GS12 career series 1176 to 1102

Hi everyone!

I’m currently a federal employee, GS 12, working for GSA as a Building Management Specialist (1176 series). I serve as a COR on multiple contracts, including elevator, janitorial, and operations and maintenance. Before this role, I supervised a business where I managed long term contracts and negotiated with vendors.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business

MBA

Training completed (via FAI.gov):
CON 1100V, Contract Foundational Skills

CON 1200V, Contract Pre Award

CON 1400V, Contract Post Award

COR 1, 2, and 3

Given my education and background, I think I’m better suited for a business focused career field. I’m also burning out as a property manager. It often feels like a thankless, bottom of the ladder role. I’d like to move into something more specialized within the federal government, like the 1102 Contracting series, since it aligns more closely with my education and skill set. I bring strong administrative skills in drafting contracts, negotiating, and general business acumen.

Can anyone offer advice on transitioning into federal contracting?

Based on the courses I’ve already completed, I believe I’m on track for FAC C certification, but I’m not fully clear on the requirements. What else should I take to become a stronger candidate, and how do the pieces connect toward certification?

Appreciate whatever advice or insight you can offer a federal employee that’s burning out and trying to keep my light on.

Michigan Lighting owners... what are your thoughts?

Both the 1-year and 10-year calculations are based exactly on 10,000 miles driven per year.

🍒 First-time Cherry Fest dad here looking for some local wisdom for <<July 5th's AIR SHOW>>!!🍒

Hey r/traversecity! First-time Cherry Fest dad here looking for some local wisdom for <<July 5th's AIR SHOW>>!!🍒

I’m driving up from Cadillac on Saturday, July 5th, with my five boys (ages 4 to 12) to catch the Air Show. This is a first for all of us. None of my boys have ever seen a real air show, and one of my middle guys is absolutely obsessed with planes. I'm talking books, YouTube videos, bedroom ceiling covered in models—the whole works. I really want this day to blow his mind, and if I’m being completely honest, I’m chasing a major dad win here.

I’ve been doing my homework and narrowed down our viewing spots to these four options:

 1. Open Space Park: Right at show center with the announcer and all the food/bathrooms right there. My only worry is it might be a total madhouse for my 4-year-old.
 2. West End Beach: I’ve read locals like this spot for a bit more breathing room, but it’s a hike from the rest of the festival stuff.
 3. Clinch Park / Volleyball Beach: Seems like a decent middle ground. Good views, maybe slightly easier parking, and a short walk to the Open Space afterward.
 4. Sunset Park: I heard this is great for fireworks, but is it any good for the actual air show with kids?

The show starts at 1:00 PM, and I need some serious logistics help.

What time should we actually leave Cadillac to beat the July 5th holiday traffic coming into TC? I want plenty of buffer time to park, find a spot, and let the kids settle in without us sprinting from the car. Should my wife and I take separate cars so I can head up early to stake out a spot with a blanket, or is that overkill?

If you were in my shoes, with five boys, one massive aviation nerd, and their first big air show...what would your game plan look like? Where would you park, where would you set up, and what would you do before and after the show to make it unforgettable?

Any hidden gems, insider tips, or "wish I knew" advice would mean the world to us. Thanks so much, everyone!

Does anyone here work for the federal government while also selling to it?

Does anyone here work for the federal government while also selling to it?

I’ve heard this is possible provided you have written supervisor approval, the work occurs outside of official hours, and you aren't selling to your own agency. Does anyone actually do this?

Currently, I am a Project Manager at the GSA specializing in construction and build-outs. My wife is interested in pursuing federal service contracts—specifically catering for the military. Since her business is in the food service industry and entirely separate from my role in GSA construction, there shouldn't be a conflict of interest, right?

Does anyone in here work for the federal government and sell to the federal government?

I was told it is possible so long as you have written approval from your supervisor to sell to the federal government after work hours, and they’re not selling to their own agency that they are employed by.

Wondering, does anybody do this?
