I have a whole day in Folkestone tomorrow, what is there to do?

I've been to the beach, the pier, I've been through the pretty old town. Are there any must do/see things here?

Section 20 consultation in report received from solicitor, now what?

How do I proceed from here? Do I email EA saying I saw this and I'm still keen to go through with the purchase ,but need £10k off the price, or how does this work? Solicitor seems a bit useless, as all he sent with the documents was "Please see attached Purchase Report". No cover letter, no explanation, no guidance what I'm to do next.

People of the internet, what do I do now?! Please HELP!

Is there anywhere I can go spend the day by water and take the occasional dip near chesham?

Merchant Taylors Lake only does timeslots which, as a continental European used to swimming in open water unsupervised, find ridiculous. Is there anywhere relatively close to Chesham that I could go to 'the beach'? Just hang out by a river or a lake, and take the odd dip in the water?

Always with the stress ...

So, my offer has just been accepted. I have a bit of a situation with the gifted part of the deposit that will hopefully get resolved by Monday. And then we are on the long, dawn out journey of the English system of property purchase.

Yay, right?

Yes and also not quite.

I just got a text from my landlord saying he needs the flat and me out asap.

Pray for me folks! This sale can not fall through!!!

Can I get recommendations for a great vegan eating spot in West Brompton, please?

Happy cow is not very forthcoming for this area. We are going to a show at the Empress Museum tomorrow and I'd like to make it a day and find somewhere exciting to eat before the show.

I'm a FTB and I verbally put in an offer with the estate agent (Castles) today. They now booked me in for a financial verification phone call for next week. In the preparation email they sent ahead, they are asking me for payslips. The email came from SPK Mortgages, a mortgage broker, presumably their own, in house one. I have my own, independent MB. Are they being sneaky and trying to insert their own MB and get a clear view of my finances? Or am I being paranoid???

What the title says. Another agent told me he got instructed for a place I already saw with another agent. Now I'm wondering if there is a way this could be to my benefit?

Those of you who grow edible things, anywhere, kitchen garden or allotment, what berries do you grow?

I have an allotment where raspberries are threatening to take over the plot (I'm not complaining). There are brambles and a few gooseberry bushes on the abandoned plot* next to me. And I discovered a few red- and blackcurrants too. I'm now thinking of adding a whitecurrant and a josta berry bush. Is josta worth growing?

What's out there in the berry bush world that is thornless, undemanding and delicious?

*The plot is permantly abandoned, on the edge and mostly taken over by trees and brambles. If I fight the brambles enough (and I have to for the sake of my plot!), I can add a row of different and exciting things. No one will mind.
