No 3rd FTA0 or any important code generated. Any idea if this at least gives some hope? API still shows NBC.
I have a 2020 1.5T Chevy Malibu (112k miles) that developed an engine oil leak. The shop says they confirmed the leak is coming from the front timing cover, and that oil is actively dripping onto the alternator.
They're recommending replacing/resealing the front timing cover, and the estimate is $2,421. Unfortunately, I can't afford a $2,400 repair right now, so I'm trying to figure out my best option.

Based on these pictures, does the whole system really need to be replaced, or could this be repaired with a weld or partial replacement? Is the quote reasonable?
Just need to vent a little bit, I can’t be the only one feeling left out.

I know it can take many months and it’s still “early” after biometrics, but I keep seeing posts of everyone getting at least silent updates, even later PDs than me. I’m tired of checking my API every day and not seeing any updates.
Sharing my timeline and had a couple questions:
