I keep hearing about photographers and digitechs are using Apple monitors more than Eizo monitors as the quality is already as good as Eizo other than 8 bit + FRC, wireless monitor setup, and built-in calibration tool. Tho Eizo is well known for professional monitors with reliable and trustworthy quality, they are still sticking with old specs while Apple can do both. Yes, Eizo will announce CG series OLED monitors later this year but that would be extremly expensive while OLED monitors are still not good enough.

Anyway, I wanted to ask how Apple monitors, especially Studio XDR performs compared to Eizo on sets? Do digitechs and photographers are now prefering Apple over Eizo if possible?

I'm having issues with a client who hired me for sports photography paid by hour or per game. I did not notified until 2 hours before the game start and I would def charge them for headshots but as I never shot headshots professinoally while didnt really have time to prep and shoot, I did not charge a lot as it wasn't part of the contract.

As it was not part of the contract and didnt prep properly, I charged $100 per person but the client told me it's excessive amount as you only changed a lens to shoot for a few minute per person with natural lights and only wish to pay $30 per person, $120 in total. $100 per person is already absurd in NYC but $30 per person is insulting. The client liked all images but their logic was totally awful: "We already hired you per game or hour and headshots are just part of the service from general coverage. Why pay more?"

Tho they were the first commercial client who hired me to shoot sports for several times despite low rates as I only shot for few months but this doesn't seem rights. I am quite speechless as they keep lowballing rates toward headshot images especially since they dont know the difference between the usage/rights and photography services while the rate is too low. Yes, I have more than 10 years of experience in photography and I can tell this is totally BS even if I'm new to headshot and sports.

I dont like when people ask something that isn't part of the contract but what would you gonna say?

ISO Sony 70-200 GM II in NYC only.

I was eyeing on Nape Pro but it seems all stocks are gone. Keychron website itself still have some of them but for others, it's impossible to find. I dont know what's going on but I would wait until they are retocked in Amazon cause I have some credits to spend.

Looking for Sony 70-200 GM II at $2000 or lower. Since it's almost 5 years old while many people sold it under $2000, I think it's reasonable.

Elecom Huge Plus lasted only 2 weeks at H mode and yet, Elecom told me it's totally normal which is totally BS. Logitech MX Master 3 and other bluetooth mouses last several months while Elecom advertised it for up to 3 months in H mode or 5 months in L mode. Now, they are refusing to fix and replace it as if it's normal.

Totally disappointed.

I have no idea why they keep ignoring my feedbacks for a long time and yet, they made Capture One Live worst:

1. Why white background? This is stupid and you can only change the background color in image viewer which is very stupid. There are reasons why dark mode exists and even image viewer still shows white bar. Clearly, removing an option is a terrible choice.

2. They still didnt fix the long file name issue. Whenever it's long, Capture One Live does NOT show the full name or the first few words. It's a well known issue that I've been reported multiple times and yet, they still didnt fix it.

3. No way to show only rated and/or tagged selections from all folders. How the hell am I supposed to find all selections at once in Capture One Live?

4. No sort options for Capture folders. It's still randomized by unknown reasons.

5. Cant add folders into one Capture One Live collection. You can share all folders at once but you CAN NOT add them one by one unless they are in Fav folders. Managing shared folders is still difficult and complexed to use.

This is very frustrating when the subscription add-on has many issues for a long time while ignoring my feedbacks.

He scammed me on r/photomarket by fooling me via Zelle. Both usernames are used by one identical person. On Zelle, his name is Eric Brown. He is still active in Reddit by blocking me and others. Despite long scamming history, he is still scamming others in many subreddits and I'm surprised that Reddit is still allowing to stay here.

Regardless, I sent reports to FTC and others as I lost $350 to him.

The power consumption is quite high as it consumed 25% in just a day! I couldn't believe it and I wonder if it's just using either L or H mode but didnt change anything.

Im using bluetooth mode but few days of battery life seems strange. I dont turn it off but my MX Master 3 last several months without chargining it. I see another post in a same subreddit saying it lasts only 1~2 weeks but mine is a lot shorter!

I am very worried since it's only a week old as I bought it from Amazon and it seems Elecom customer support sucks according to users. Am I supposed to request a replacement?

I will test it one more time to confirm my issue but it doens't look right to me.

Bad results. Strong orange + magenta tint

The company bought 36 boxes of Color i-Type Instant Films but all of them came out too orange with magenta tints. So they bought another batch of films from B&H today but again, they came out with same results.

We were using Polaroid I-2 and updated to the latest version but it never solved problems. We only used it for studio portrait on the white wall with a built-in flash but results were bad without exceptions. None of them expired and manufactured on early this year. We also tried differnt camera but same results.

So I bought 2 boxes of color films from local store and they came out nice! No more orange on portrait with magenta tint on the white walls.

The only factor is the temperature which is quite hot inside a small studio without any windows with a tiny space but does the temperature suddenly affects the quality and colors right away? Because at a same condition, films from local store had no issues so it doesn't make any sense especially boxes that we bought from B&H today.

For now, I put all films inside the refrigerator to cool them down but I heard that once the temperature ruin them, it can not be fixed.

Any idea why it's happening?

I requested a support to solve the issue that I've been dealing with and already tried all solutions before I even reach out to them. I followed their solutions step by step but after 3 emails, they went silent. It has been 2 weeks already since they never replied and gave up.

This is not the first time they went silent and ignore my supports and it's totally terrible. I dont think this is what I've been paying for especially since I use Capture One for works.

As we all know, Capture One is STILL not able to support A7V's compressed and compressed HQ while Adobe was able to suport them a while ago. Despite what they are saying, it's totally BS. How come Adobe was able to support those formats? Care to explain? Since Adobe already support those RAW formats, what Capture One's saying is totally meaningless.

The most serious issue is Sony will use those RAW formats for all future cameras including a new A7R6. Guess what? There is no gurantee if A7R6's compressed RAW formats will be supported within this year and you are forced to use loseless format only until they finally support it.

Come on, Capture One. DO SOMETHING. Adobe also reached out to Sony to get supports and is that all you can do? Maybe it's your problem not collaborating with Sony just like you did with Hasselblad? It's already more than 6 months since A7V's compressed RAW files are yet to be supported.

At this point, Sony users should avoid using Capture One at all cost as they are still not able to support A7V and now, more Sony cameras will never get supports for compressed RAW formats.

Maybe it's baseball's issue as it's difficult to predict and check multiple players at once but it's quite challenging to find, focus, and capture players who about to catch the ball and throw. Since my lens blocking the view, it's quite impossible to look around and check before I shoot.

I wonder if you have any suggetions while using a huge lens?

Officially, Sigma does not allow warranty transfer but if the person who bought my lens want to send the lens for repair or cleaning, what do they usually ask? Serial number? Purchased date? Receipt?
