ATSU SAT/ACT

I don't remember my score and am calling college board tomorrow, but why on EARTH are they asking for this? I took the SAT during COVID w/o studying, went to my state school for undergrad w o submitting. I know I did bad on it. I got a 508 on the mcat and have a 3.9 gpa. i feel like what I did in HS shouldn't matter.

should i be submitting primary apps w o one of my lors in?

I am waiting on my physician lor. I have my committee letter from undergrad. Should I be submitting to schools that require a physician lor already, or wait until its actually in? I am talking KCU, DUQCOM, Western, Touro, NOVA, and AZCOM. I already submitted secondaries to schools that do not require one, and will add it later.

EDIT: primary is already verified, i am talking about sending the primaries and doing the secondaries for those schools that I listed

Secondaries can literally f off

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY

Literally. Why. Why do i need to write 30 "why us?" essays. I want to go to your school bc I want to be a doctor and you offer that degree. These are the absolute worst prompts ever. I don't care if Dr. Tim is doing research in X,Y,Z or if there is a student-run clinic. I'll only care about those things if I get into ur school. Send me to a rural town, big city, halfway across the country. IDGAF. I will be locked away studying for the next 4 years, I could not care less about where ur school is. On top of that, all those other STUPID ESSAYS. I am literally taking my primary and repeating it using different words and different stories. "Activity/hobby/unique thing about your experiences not already in your primary?" THAT IS WHAT I USED MY PRIMARY FOR. I feel souless. And I am only done w about 5 schools.

Dare I say, worse than studying for the mc*t? I am not a writer.

And guess who is taking casper/preview in T-minus 1 week... Hahahahahahah

sent 4 primaries to vcom

I did not realize u rank in the secondaries. I applied to all 4. will this slow down my processing time? Stupid, wasted like 200 bucks bc I didn't know.

I do not have a physician letter so my list is more limited. Below are my stats. Should I remove anything? Unsure about Rowan and MSU, I don't think I can get in.

I am mostly applying DO and would love some insight on my application. Not sure how many MD applications I should send out given my app, experiences, and the fact I won't apply until beginning/middle of July
GPA:
- cGPA: 3.85 (bio degree, was not originally pre-med)
- sGPA: ~3.8–3.9 (can calculate more precisely if needed)
- Grad GPA: 4.0 (MS in biostats, course-based, no research)
MCAT: 508 (128/124/126/130)
State of residence: VA
ORM/URM: ORM
Clinical Experience:
- CNA at nursing home- 240 hours
- RBT (behavior tech) working with autistic children- ~400 hours by time of application (ongoing)
- Pop-up clinics- ~104 hours by time of application (ongoing)
- MA volunteering at free clinic- ~60 hours by time of application (ongoing)

- Dental intern (oral surgeon + pediatric dentist)- 132 hours. Assisted with procedures and observed surgeries (including anesthesia support)
Non-Clinical Volunteering:

Leadership:
Working w kids during undergrad summers, lots of leadership- ~1200 hours
Shadowing:
- DO physician (actually practiced osteopathy)- 6 hours, Free clinic family med physician- 10 hours, shadowing set up in the next few months, with a potential physician LOR writer (probs 20-30 more shadowing hours by time of application)
Research:
-No research. MS is course-based, no thesis so I am not allowed into research labs. No undergrad research either
Letters of Recommendation:
- 3 academic (1 grad, 2 undergrad)
- 1 RN (from disability home)
- No physician letter yet, hopefully I can get one (can I add lors to my app after I submit?)

Hi guys, I've been volunteering at a free clinic for a few months now and shadow the doctors in between patients on slower days. That counts as shadowing right (my shadowing is really low rn, like 10 hours excluding the clinic shadowing)? Can I just split up my volunteer w shadowing? I do not want to look like I am double dipping but I am legit shadowing, like the physicians invite me to shadow when I am not doing MA duties. I am also not putting an excessive amount of shadowing hours anyways, only like 10-15 from the clinic.

Her name is Tara, and I've been pronouncing it tair-uh. Just found out today its tar-uh. I've been working there for 3 months. What do I do?!?! I overheard one of my coworkers saying it the correct way. Ugh...
