I can’t tell if these black specks are black mold. Should I toss it?

First timer, just wanna see if the black speckles are mold or if it’s part of the substrate. Thanks for the advice!

Hey all,
My partner and I are backpacking the Hoh River Trail this June and I wanted to get a second opinion on the itinerary. We are both pretty physically fit and active and do a lot of hiking but this is our first time backpacking. I’m wondering if this seems doable or if people recommend doing more miles with less days. Also wondering if people had any advice on what to bring for the trip. Thanks so much!
Day 1 - Happy Four ( 6 miles flat)
Day 2- Lewis Meadow (5 miles flat)
Day 3- Day trip to Glacier Meadow and back to Elk Lake - ~10 miles total
( drop off our camping stuff at Elk Lake on the way up for lighter packs )
Day 4- Elk lake to Olympus Guard Station 5.5 Miles
Day 5- Walk out 9.5 miles
