How did LKY got played when he invested in Suzhou Industrial Park?

I don't really the story behind the incident. It seems LKY admitted he failed in this project.
The questions are how did it failed? And why did it failed? Was it because the bureaucracy in China was so complicated to deal with? | look forward to more insights from the comments.

How to make sure not getting a room with noise?

Personally, I am very noise sensitive. Slight noise from the fan in the bathroom or sounds from refrigerator makes me not able to sleep. So what is the trick to get a room that is noise free and have peaceful rest?

What do you guys think of Toh Chin Chye?

From my impression, I think he contributed to the success of Singapore story. But it seems he is living the shadow of Lee Kuan Yew. After he retires, he seems quiet and not continue to influence politics in Singapore. And he had a quiet after life and passed away peacefully. So, how do Singaporean (particularly the younger generation) thinks of him? And what legacy has he left?

A request can’t be refused by the concierge

I have always heard that great luxury hotel concierge never say no to request. I am very interested to pay a visit into the traditional gentlemen's club (E.g. White’s , The Travellers Club) in London. If I stay in a hotel like the ritz, the Connaught or the Goring. Can this be done? Let’s say my request is to dine in the travellers club. Look to hear your comments!

As I have lived in Hong Kong most of my life. I find it difficult to link romance with Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a busy place and look for being efficient. And the people here is rude, especially those waiters. So it is difficult to find palaces in Hong Kong and call it romantic. The only time I feel romantic is that I was visited a house in The Peak and look down towards the Aberdeen. And the street lights from middle gap road illuminates like tiny candles in a church. I find it so surreal and such a romantic scene can happen in Hong Kong. So, where in Hong Kong do you find most romantic? Look forward to your comments below!
