Safe Hotel for Solo Trip

There are two things I definitely want to do in LA, and one thing I’m interested in: attending Chocolate Sundaes at The Laugh Factory, dining at Somerville, and possibly hitting a nice mall (I LOVE a good mall and am so spoiled by living super close to NorthPark Center in Dallas).

I prefer to solo trip if it’s not a baecation bc I’d rather move on my own time. But I did actually bring it up to a couple girlfriends bc I’m scared as hell to solo trip to LA. Didn’t get a bite.

But I REALLY want to go to Chocolate Sundaes and figured I could make a day out of by doing brunch at Somerville first, so I don’t want to give up on the trip. Which brings me here. Any suggestions for hotels that are close to either location (with a preference for The Laugh Factory) that are safe for a solo trip? Part of me feels like I might not have to really worry unwanted male attention due to the demographics of the city and what I’ve seen folks say online about how the men out there move, but at the end of the day: an attractive woman is an attractive woman, so idk fr

EDIT: I’m also interested in day spa recs! I am a Woodhouse Day Spa LOVER and have been to several of their locations across the country. For reference, bc I went to one of the “top spas” in Vegas and was so blown by the experience

Bought a 2018 RX 350 from Carmax today. It started raining on my 15 min drive home. I sat in the car and tried to set it up, then suddenly, I felt a drop of water. I looked up and a weird spot in the roof was leaking.

I ran into my apt, put on a hoodie and rain jacket, then went back to the car so that I could take it back to Carmax. Might’ve been in my apt for 10 mins. Got back to the car and the leaking spread all the way down to the corner of the dash.

Does anyone know what could cause leaking in this spot? Should I be worried about electrical?
