Hey guys and gals! I’m planning on moving to Houston in January, currently I live in Los Angeles. Los Angeles has been a hell of a mess with the government. Cost of living is no longer do able unless your making close to 6 figures a year. I’ve seen apartments in Houston range from 650 - 1000 for a 1 bedroom apartment. Also I’m a big 2A supporter which California is also not the greatest at. I’ve never moved out of state before if anyone could help me out on how to successfully move states I know I have to change my DL and vehicle registration to Texas

What are the best cities in Houston to move to?
How many weeks do apartments allow me to reserve a unit prior to me moving there? I also don’t have a set job yet but I do have enough money in my bank to cover a 12 month lease + more which will give me time to look for a job but will these leasing companies allow me to lease without a set job yet.

I just want a fresh start somewhere besides California. I want to meet new people and know more about Texas culture. It’s huge city I know I’ll get lost lmao
