I’m a licensed teacher currently working in DSWD under a different role from teaching. Honestly, I’m happy with my work right now, but I also applied for the RQA in DepEd and now I’m feeling conflicted about what path to choose if given the opportunity.
On one hand, there’s the stability and permanence of a Teacher I position in DepEd (SG 11). On the other hand, there’s the possibility of a higher salary grade in DSWD in the future, but the position is still COS and not permanent. I’m torn between choosing:
-a permanent government position with security and benefits but lower salary, or -a higher-paying COS position with work I also enjoy, but without the same stability.
For those who have been in a similar situation, especially in government service, what would you choose and why? Any advice or insights would really help.

I applied for the DepEd RQA and now I’m conflicted between choosing a permanent Teacher I position (SG 11) for stability and benefits, or staying in a higher-paying but COS position in DSWD with less job security. As a teacher working in DSWD and is happy but applied for RQA in deped, im conflicted kung ang permanent position sa deped as t1 na sg 11 or possible na higher sg sa dswd with a different position but COS. Ano mas maganda huhu
