A killer with no motive

The older I get the more I don't understand the purpose of Michael in JC version because it confusing it doesn't have me thinking about what was the motive enough to think he scary Chucky was much scarier when I found out the backstory

I never understood that Christians hidden hatefulness but the Bible says to love one another

Why does the faith rely so heavily on fear to force discipline, while so many Christians express hate and judgment instead of actually loving their neighbor?

Anybody else grow up in a household where everything was about Jesus but nobody taught real life skills?

I come from a family where Christianity was the center of literally everything, but nobody really taught us practical life stuff. Like we heard about Jesus, prayer, sin, respect, etc every day, but not much about mental health, emotional communication, responsibility, finances, washing clothes, coping with stress, or just becoming an independent adult.

It feels like every serious conversation somehow turned into a religious lecture instead of actual guidance. If you were struggling mentally or emotionally, the answer was usually “pray about it” instead of talking through the issue or learning how to handle it.

I’m not even saying religion itself is bad. I just feel like there should’ve been balance between spirituality and actual life lessons. Sometimes I feel behind compared to people whose parents taught them both.
