If Muslims have so many problems with westerners then they can just leave and go back to where they came from

I was reading through some Muslim subs and so many posts were complaining about “Western influence” changing Muslim women. People were angry about women wanting independence, feminism, equal relationships, careers, freedom to choose who they marry, and not wanting to be traditional wives anymore.

At some point I genuinely wonder, if Western culture is supposedly so corrupt and destructive, then why stay in Western countries? Why move there, preach there, and try to change other people’s societies while constantly talking about how terrible they are?

If someone wants a hyper traditional lifestyle and gender roles, nobody is stopping them from living in a country where those values already dominate. What annoys me is the double standard. Muslims in Western countries openly preach religion, pressure society, and criticize local culture, but if Westerners went to many Muslim-majority countries and started attacking Islam or promoting anti religious views publicly, they would’ve been prosecuted.

You can’t move to a free society, benefit from its freedoms, then spend all your time complaining about the freedoms people have.

Why is Islam more misogynistic than other Abrahamic religions?

What always gets me is how people pretend Islam is “feminist” or “misunderstood” when so much of the religion is built around controlling women. Men get authority over women, women inherit less, women’s testimony is treated differently in some cases, husbands get more rights in marriage and divorce, and modesty rules overwhelmingly target women. Then culture gets blamed for everything as if the religion had zero influence on those cultures in the first place.

I grew up constantly hearing that women are “protected” in Islam, but protection always seemed to mean restriction. Less freedom, more monitoring, more expectations, more shame attached to your behaviour, clothes, voice, friendships, and future. Meanwhile men’s actions get excused far more easily.

The hardest part is how normalised it all becomes when you’re raised around it. You don’t even realise how unequal things are until you step back and compare the standards for men and women side by side.

I wanna debate the Muslims in this subreddit that are so obsessed with ex Muslims

I’m not Muslim but I wanna know more about Islam and why do women say they wear hijab for god but only cover up in front of men and don’t have to wear it otherwise (as in girls hangouts etc)

Why is this thing protesting against gender discrimination

Bow on niqab to make it look cute she looks like a trash bag. Talking about gender discrimination while being oppressed isn’t the way to go

I’m 17 and live in the Moreton Bay area. I’ve never really gotten along with my parents because they’re extremely strict. I’m not allowed to go out with friends, call people from my phone, or do normal teenager stuff, and I honestly feel like I’m wasting my teenage years.

I’ve been thinking about leaving home, but I don’t know how the legal side of things works since I’m still a minor. I’m worried that if I leave, child safety or police would force me to go back home.

Has anyone been through something similar in Queensland or knows what options there are for someone my age?

My parents have forced islam on me since I was very little. And it’s been so traumatic I’m a closeted exmuslim as my parents are big believers in honour killing but I’m gonna run away in 219 days I’ve got a plan, money, car and a job secured, I’ll be transferring jobs to another state. The point is I hate looking at myself every single time I look at myself I wish I was never born or die, so disgusted by Islam and everything forced upon me. My parents are first cousins which is even more disgusting for me to look at myself it’s almost impossible to love myself.

I fucking hate wearing the hijab that has been forced on me since I got raped by a grown Muslim man when I was 6 (This was in a third world country) cuz apparently it was my fault that I was wearing my school uniform which was a shirt and a skort (skirt and shorts mixed). Everyone did everything they could to protect the man and blamed everything on a fucking child that didn’t know what the fuck was going on. Now I think about it if that were my daughter I would’ve killed the man and not protect him.

For so many fucking years I blamed myself to and was brainwashed into think that I need to cover up so that doesn’t happen to me again meanwhile that man is out there probably doing the same thing to other girls while being protected by muslims.
