HESI A2 Scheduled Tomorrow

As the title suggests, I’m taking my HESI tomorrow morning. I was originally scheduled for Thursday but I’ve been studying for like two months and I want to get it over with. My sections are Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Math, and Reading Comprehension. I’ve been studying with quizlet, nursehub, and then having ChatGPT explain any concepts that I didn’t understand or was missing repeatedly. Nursehub has been my biggest study tool, but I’ve heard it’s a lot more in depth than the actual test is. I’m scoring over 90% in all practice tests on nursehub so I’m feeling pretty confident. My goal is a 95%. Wish me luck!

Disclosing my new diagnosis in my yearly work evaluation

I’ve had a really rough year. Lots of physical health issues, a tonsillectomy, horrible breakup during a hypomanic episode, financial issues, substance abuse issues, leading to eventual diagnosis of BD 2 less than a month ago. I work at a hospital as a PCT. I called out of work A LOT over the past year and was late to probably one shift a week at least. I have my yearly career evaluation tomorrow and I’m really scared of what they’re going to say. I’m considering disclosing some of the issues I’ve been having and telling my boss that I’m now in therapy, medicated, and sober. I haven’t gotten any warnings or anything and I communicated about my surgery and physical health stuff super far in advance, so I was thinking about just blaming a lot of it on my tonsils. I was getting flare ups every 3-4 weeks and on antibiotics like every other month for awhile, and then I wasn’t getting good sleep because of how enlarged they were so waking up on time was really hard for me. I’ve always struggled with time management and am thinking about talking to my psychiatrist about adhd/add.

I’m just not sure how much to tell my boss. I know that my mental health struggles aren’t a full excuse, but I thought it might help her understand a bit why I’m struggling. My other thought is to document it as a disability so I they can’t fire me as easily. I just need advice :/

Keeping Chase checking and savings accounts after filing Ch. 7

Hi all, I’m currently working towards paying legal fees to file ch. 7. I have my bank accounts with Chase, but also two credit cards with them that I will be including in the filing. Maybe this is a silly question, but will they let me keep my checking and savings accounts after? I know my CC will be closed but I don’t want to have to use a new bank if I don’t have to.

Summer Garden Formal Wedding Guest

Hello! My boyfriend is a groomsman at a wedding this summer and I was invited as his plus one. The dress code is described as “Formal with an elegant, sophisticated garden party feel.
Women are invited to wear floor length gowns in spring or summer colors, including floral or seasonal prints if desired.” The bridesmaids are wearing blue, but that’s my favorite color on myself and the bride specified that she doesn’t really care as long as guests are comfortable. I originally ordered a beautiful dress that was sadly not flattering on me and did not fit my body type at all. The bride gave a very specific mood board for what kind of attire she’d like the guests to wear and i found a few replacement options that looked like they would fit in great, but i didn’t see myself ever wearing any of them after the wedding. I went with this blue dress after encouragement from my friends and I plan on also wearing it for my birthday later this summer. I want to go with silver heels, understated jewelry and probably a slick back ponytail or low bun.
I think my biggest concern is I don’t want to stand out too much, especially since I’m not close with the bride and groom, but I also don’t want to wear/spend money on something I don’t like. Thoughts?

Sashimi on Day 8

Surgery on 5/8, I’ve barely been able to eat since like day two but FATTY SALMON SASHIMI omgggg. It tastes delicious and slides right down without sticking to scabs or anything, no real flavor so it doesn’t burn and great protein. I wouldn’t recommend rice because it’s really sticky but I just picked apart a rainbow roll and between the imitation crab, sashimi, and avocado on top it’s the most I’ve eaten in one sitting.

Cannabis during recovery

I had my tonsillectomy on 5/8 and it’s been about as expected. 23F with sleep apnea, stones, chronic tonsillitis and strep, etc. I was advised to stop all substances (weed, vaping, alcohol) at least a week prior to surgery so I quit everything the Thursday before my procedure. At my preop appointment though, my surgeon told me I didn’t need to stop smoking weed until the day before my surgery and immediately after the procedure I could take edibles. I was really surprised but I continued to smoke until about 5/6 and have been taking edible powder mixed in with apple juice 1-2x a day since 5/10 and it’s been incredible. The specific one I’m using has CBG in it, which helps with inflammation, swelling, and pain and it’s been helping more than the oxycodone I was prescribed (with no constipation 🙃)

I know it’s probably not something every surgeon would be okay with, but I’m in a legal state and therefore have been very honest with my doctors about my cannabis use. I haven’t noticed any real downsides to it besides the fact that it can dry your mouth out a bit, but it’s been helping the pain so much that I’m able to eat and drink almost normally. I CHUGGED water earlier and that was probably the most I’ve gotten down in days. I like that it feels a little more natural than the narcotic pain medication as well. I’m still taking the oxy at night when the pain gets worse, but I went all day today on only Tylenol and my powder and felt pretty okay ish.
