3d embroidery heat press patches

Looking for custom shape heat press applied 3d embroidery patches (for hats for this current project)
Looking for some leads and any advice if anyone’s used them before. I don’t really want to outsource this project to a embroiderer if I don’t have to

CT/RI DTF provider? In a jam

Looking for a CT/RI or even south central MA to fill an emergency DTF order.
Long story short my DTF order came a roll short and now I’m in a scramble to fill orders.
I haven’t had any luck via google, looking to see if anyone was local-ish to me to pick up in person

Best Finishing sheet material

I’m currently pressing large block letters (11x~6) for a back design of cotton shirt.
What’s the best material to use to finish the press? I’ve used parchment paper, and recently switched to using a single layer of a spare blank that seems to get better results. I’ve noticed these specialty finishing teflon sheets that add texture. Has anyone used them/are they worth it? Is there anything else to try that removes that smooth iron on feel?

Ink residue on shirt side

I finally made it through my first print (with a lot of help from this sub) now I’m trying to fix some issues I had before starting my next project.

One problem i developed that I’m not sure the reason of was a residue of ink developing on my shirt side of my screen.

In the picture, I noticed a “haze” around part of my print, after cleaning the screen several times I still developed this residue splatter that would leave a haze on the shirt. Is this normal ink build up? What could be causing this

I had a similar issue with the back prints, I had only 1 spot that would leave a haze of ink, I cleaned the screen several times extremely well, and it could continue to come back almost immediately. That haze location wasn’t even around the edges of the print. I’ll update with a photo once I find a couple shirts I had to trash because of it.

Any idea what’s causing this?

Noob print problems

TLDR; I can’t get a smooth clean and even print, tried all types of different offsets, no luck. Is there something else I’m missing?

So I don’t know where I’m going wrong, this is half brain dump and whole hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I’m using a 160 mesh pre burned screen from what sounds like a reputable service. 20x24 with the 14x17 burnable area.

I’ve tried adjusting my offset all over the place, this is the best I got, and it’s roughly 1/8th inch. Any further away I’m barely touching the screen and get hardly any ink transfer, closer and my screen sticks to my shirt and I get that really bad Fibrillation

I thought my ink was getting stuck in my screen, completely cleaned it and started over and still get this type of result.
I tried the print flash print people suggested with white but other parts of my print that came out properly end up way thicker than others.

I think my screen is still sticking in certain areas and pulling the ink back off? I don’t know where I’m going wrong? Maybe I’m using too much pull pressure? But when I lighten up I get very faint but still uneven prints? I’ve tried one long squeegee that covers my whole print, and the problem spots don’t line up with my hand positions, and I’ve also tried a smaller one with two passes.

How on Earth are you supposed to center images on screens so they center on the print pallet? S1/Screen Printer

TLDR; My experience/set up is nothing like the video walk through videos, how do you center an image on a screen, so it also centers on the pallet?

INb4; I am a total noob in terms of printing, and lasers, I am also crazy frustrated. I know my skillset is partly to blame.

I have burned through an uncomfortable amount of blanks due to prints not being centered. If I had hair I'd pull it out.

My problem of the xtool screen boundary in no way lines up to my physical print space. Every video I watch, the influencer's green boundary is inside the engravable area, that right off the rip is screwing up my centering but I thought I worked around that.

Problem is I didn't, kept being off

Now, I have labeled where I'm at. I manually marked inside the screen, I'm assuming the left and right lines may differ from x tools due to the built in "safe engrave" but that doesn't add up because my bottom boundary lines up with xtool's and i measured from the edge of the screen frame.

My top boundary does pretty much line up with my workspace, and the physical limited of my S1.

Now from my understanding the green cross is the center of the screen when using the guide jig. Which looks possibly close IRL, i didn't measure it.

But now what blows my mind is my wood pallet is centered on the screen printer itself. I placed a marker sticker on the center dot, and now my red laser marker is where that dot landed on the screen when loaded into the printer.

After watching a crazy amount of influencer videos, not a single one had to deal with any of this, or mention any of this process. Am I doing something wrong? Is my software settings off? Is there somewhere I can make this process easier?

Brand new, technique help

So just got up and running this past week, I’m still sorting out some equipment issues but I think I got a decent screen and have been trying to get my first print down.

I have a host of problems and worked a couple out on cardboard and started to get some decent prints so I moved on to a couple of shirts and i can’t get this even close lol

My biggest problem is the edges of my design (all text) have barely any ink, and a second pass dumps way too much ink and causes globing. My squeegee spans the entire print and I hold it on the outsides trying to ensure enough pressure is applied to the edges.

I’m assuming it’s a technique issue but I’m not even sure how to go about fixing it, any help would be much appreciated

Edit: I’m using xTool studio from the xTool website, I got mixed up after watching so many videos and thought XCS was the name of the new one.

I just got an S1 40w and the screen printing bundle.

I'm attempting to engrave my first screen, I have installed the screen jig and placed my screen inside the S1. I noticed that my working space is lined up with the dark canvas, but my screen and the safe working space of the screen runs up and out of my canvas. Every video I watched their safe working space was inside their canvas. Did I set something up wrong? My main concern is that now my prints will not be centered on the screen.
