Fruiting after being dumped!

I dumped this contaminated ochra tub last week and was soo defeated, look what popped up this morning! I had no idea this would happen (first time grower) as there was more on other parts of the tub, these were just the pictures I got. Can anything be done with these or will the squirrels just have a little treat until they dry out?

When to harvest??

I know everyone asks this, it is my first time growing and I haven’t seen toooo many people talk about the process for growing ochras. These started fruiting 8/4 Wednesday and have been growing like crazy but the difference in some of them make me anxious about when is the right time. Should I wait to harvest most or go bit by bit?

Thanks any advice for going forward is highly appreciated!!!

Found lost pigeon - unable to keep

I don’t know if this is the right place to post this, just today I had a beautiful pigeon flying around my yard that kept landing around us outside. After a bit it let us catch her as we noticed she (assuming it’s female) had a band on her leg. The band had a number which I called only to be told that it previously used to be theirs before gifting the pigeons away to move to a different state. I’m not really sure how to go about finding a place to take her in my area as there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of places accepting bird rescues? I’m also unsure where to find the right resources to keep her safe until we know. Does anyone have any experience or advice for this? We are unable to keep her as we already have too many animals and just don’t have the resources to.
