Anyone else with Epstein Barr?

Hello, 29 year old male here 5’10 and 215lbs. I recently tested positive for epstein Barr virus and its antibodies. Anyone else have this with their migraines? I got tested for this due to being off balance and light headed often. My neurologist ordered it.

My journey

My journey (lengthy): 29 year old male from Toronto

2022-2024 (post covid)
- few migraines with aura
- 2 anxiety in stores
- started around infection from covid

June 2025
- anxiety attack at a restaurant
- woke up and my whole body felt in shock
- balance issues, dizzy, panicky

July 2025
- Went to ER
- CT normal, all blood work normal, chest Xray normal
- referred to neurology with appointment in April 2026, ENT in October 2025, and Internal Medicine .

October 2025
- still feeling the same
- ENT ordered me for MRI, CT contrasted, and Vestibular testing.
- MRI normal, CT Normal, Vestibular testing showed BPPV
- she called and said I have good news; BPPV is causing your symptoms. I told her I’m not dizzy, I’m floaty and have balance issues.
-Internal medicine told me cortisol AM is low, ordered blood work and never followed up.

December 2025
-did a sleep study which revealed Moderate Severe Apnea
-utilized CPAP from then
-bought Apple Watch and confirmed Deep Sleep Levels increased
- had hope it would cure me in a few days, but doctors told me it could be a year to recover.

January 2026
- referred for psychiatry for panic attacks
-hospital a few times and all blood work was normal
-referred to endocrinologist for my cortisol

February
-started pushing and going for walks even being cold outside
-starting to feel okay but struggling still.

March 2026
-2nd internal medicine referral; ordered duplex scan of carotid arteries, and Neck CT
-had a reaction to contrast; TSH flew up to 6.0, balance issues worsened and felt week
-started spiraling down
-Psychiatry prescribed Sertraline for the panicky attacks
-Saw specialist for BVD for diagnosed me with BVD and I was given prisms and vision therapy.

April 2026
-Glasses improved concentration and double vision
-panic attacks dropped
-pushed for longer walks 10km a day now
-Neurology ordered an MRI, discussed Vestibular Migraines, claimed PPPD isn’t a thing, and did a EEG and consulted with infectious disease.

May 2026,
-still not 100% but the walks make me feel better
-eating clean and resting
-infectious disease did Lyme, CRP, EBV, and a few tests but all clear; will repeat Lyme 2 weeks later for confirmation
-continuing Vision therapy
-awaiting neurology’s final say after all test results

*I stopped working as a result of this in October but I’m feeling okay now and work 1-2 days PT. Waiting for neurology to go back to work 3-4 days now*
