I’m currently backpacking Portugal and I want to stay a few days longer to finish exploring + do day trips to Sintra and Cascais. I looked at changing the flight online and the prices to change days are ridiculous and they get more expensive the farther in the future which makes no sense. Additionally when I go to cancel the flight the refund amount is less than 1/10th what I paid, which I do not understand. However, I remember when I was booking my flights I selected the option to be able to change/cancel my flights. I was thinking of calling them directly to see what they can do but I’m not sure what to say to allow them to give me a swap for a lower fee. Any advice? Has anyone been in a similar experience? What did you do? Anyone know any hacks or something lol. I really want to do all of Portugal but I feel like I mis planned my trip a bit!!
