Xtreme 125R randomly stalling? Mine was a faulty throttle body, replaced under warranty
I recently took my Xtreme 125R in for its 3rd service because it had this annoying issue where the bike would randomly stall at low speeds or in traffic, even with the clutch fully pulled in.
The first thing the service guy told me was that I probably wasn't giving it enough throttle. I knew that wasn't the case, but it's hard to argue when they immediately assume it's rider error.
Then, by pure luck, the bike stalled three times right in front of the service manager while they were checking it. The manager immediately told the technician to stop making assumptions and inspect it properly.
They ended up replacing the throttle body under warranty.
The difference was obvious the moment I rode it out of the service center. The throttle feels much more responsive, the bike pulls cleaner from low RPMs, and most importantly, the random stalling is completely gone.
So if your Xtreme 125R is shutting off at low speeds or in traffic even with the clutch engaged, don't let them tell you it's because you're not giving enough throttle. It might actually be a faulty throttle body.
Odometer reading was just: 2833 Kms.
I'm surprised because i was facing this issue since i bought the bike and they kept luring me into believing that its because of petrol or the bike isn't warm yet..
A friend asked me go Bring this beauty from Bathinda to Patiala.
Rode this beast from Bathinda to Patiala in 44°C heat. Expected to be exhausted, but the bike was surprisingly comfortable throughout. And that classic sound was just the icing on the cake. Loved riding it.
