Ik ben op zoek naar een restaurant in Groningen, maar heb nogal veel voorwaarden. Daarom is het mij nog niet gelukt om een goed restaurant te vinden

Ik zal de situatie uitleggen. Ik heb zelf een Voedselovergevoeligheid voor tarwe en vlees. Sporen van beiden kan ik wel verdragen, dat maakt de zoektocht al iets makkelijker.

Het punt is, mijn ouders en vriend willen wel vlees. Ook heeft het restaurant goede stoelen nodig ivm hernia klachten van mijn vader. Bodegas valt af omdat wij hier al met mijn ouders verjaardag zijn geweest. Ik zat zelf te denken aan de Olijfboom, maar die hebben eigenlijk niet zo’n goede stoelen….

Als iemand ideeën heeft, laat het me dan weten.

Gebruikt het Nederlands ook vaak Future Continuousness?

De past perfect beschrijft zinnen waarbij een actie in het verleden is afgerond voordat een andere actie begon. De woorden “voordat” en “nog voor” kunnen als connector fungeren

Hij had het antwoord uitgesproken nog voor/voordat ik iets kon zeggen…

Mijn vraag is, zijn er meer woorden die als connector kunnen fungeren?

Een discussie die de laatste jaren veel gaande is, is de overstap op duurzame energie. Ik wil niemand een klimaatreligie aanpraten, dat is niet waar deze post over gaat. Ik probeer niemand een bepaalde gedachtegang aan te praten, dus geen dislikes aub.

Waar ik mij meer zorgen over maak zijn eigenlijk twee andere dingen.

1. Wanneer er oorlogen zijn door invloed van buitenlandse regeringen, is het heel erg moeilijk om nog goedkoop energie te importeren.

2. De grondstoffen die wij nu gebruiken voor onze gas en energie zullen gaan opraken. Dan heeft niemand meer energie.

Dat levert problemen op en daarom lijkt het mij slim om zelf (een deel) van onze energie op te wekken. Ik vroeg me af of er echt argumenten tegen zijn om niet over te gaan op duurzame energie. Als iemand het er niet mee eens is, of een andere oplossing ziet, dan zie ik het graag.

When I want to apply adverbs of manner the adverb usually shifts place in comparison in English

He closed the door quietly

Hij deed zachtjes de deur dicht

So it seems like that the adverb of manner always shifts before the the object

But in some phrases it seems like it doesn’t…

He takes it seriously

Hij neemt het serieus…

Here it seems that the adverb of manner shift to after the object “het”

I was wondering wheter I am missing out on a grammar rule

THE ANSWER

It took me some hours to find the answer, but luckily I found it…

Answer: Dutch does not see the phrase: Hij neemt het serieus as an adverb of manner but rather as a Predicative Object Complement…

This is to state a status.
He takes is serious.
The painted door is red..

It does not say anything about the action but rather declares a status “serious” or “red”

While English still treats it as an adverb Dutch treats it as a Predicative Object Complement and that is why it is following another word order

Grammar question

I’m always getting confused between adverbs and adjectives..

For eg… the word “logically” can be both used as adverb and as adjective…

In the sentence: he gives a logical explanation…

Does the word logical modify the noun explanation, or does it modify the verb to give….

How do I find out wheter this is an adverb or an adjective?

Ik raak altijd in de war of iets een bijwoord of een bijvoegelijk naamwoord is. Hoe houd ik deze uit elkaar?

At the moment, I’m exploring the possibility of studying to become an NT2 teacher. Normally, this program is meant for teachers who already have a teaching qualification, but since I’ve obtained three certificates, written my own grammar book, and have ten years of experience giving private lessons, I still meet the requirements to start the program. Hello all.. For some unknown reason I have difficulties to use the CPAP. When I get into sleep I dutifully wear the mask. But when I wake up I see the mask has taken off in my unconsciousness. I wasn’t sure whether the mask loosens by it-selves (body movements etc) or wheter I can’t simply tolerate the mask. I tried the CPAP for 9 months now.

At first I have tried a nose mask, but since I’m a mouth breather I’m now using a full face mask… I have used the F&P Simplus and the Airfit Resmed F20. The idea was that the magnets should have helped me. But there seems not to be an effect. Because I still got 52 events in an hour, and I usually spent only an hour with the mask. The symptoms of the Apnea are not getting treated well. The doctor prescribed me now oxygen and I got a generator. But I don’t see any improvements yet…

Of course there are other appliances such as Dental Braces, Position trainers, and Tongue Simulators. But they are all helpful for OSA and not for CSA. I wished I could get a pheric nerve stimulator, but I live in a bit of a conservative country when it comes to the healthcare costs. So the treatment is not been covered by the insurancy and costs approx 50.000 euro. A price I won’t be able to pay…

I would like to hear if anyone has any tips, or treatments that might have worked for them. I’m curieus to know if there are solutions for this problem

Edit: I found out this morning while wearing the mask that the Velcro loosened. Maybe a mask without Velcro would be better?
