Current CJI is not honourable. Most of the Judiciary is not honourable. Disagreement, to them, is contempt, and they answer criticism not with argument but with punishment. Because, guess what, they are the Judge. Someone has to state the obvious. So I will.

My company gives me 10 holidays except weekends. These parasites enjoy a total of 175 days of holidays in a year.

Will tell you a story: In 2022 someone filed a PIL in the Bombay High Court seeking that shutting courts for more than 70 days a year violates litigants' fundamental rights, and asking that the court stay functional through the Diwali break. The court declined an urgent hearing and posted the matter for after the Diwali vacation. 😂

This is the level of their shamelessness. They live off taxpayer's money but act as Kings. In their "Courts", you must call them "Your Honor" and "MyLord". Otherwise they get angry and throw you out.

This guy Surya Kant is at another level of shamelessness because he has no fear. Because he is the Judge.

He has no time to see what's evident. Which has hundreds of video proofs. Thousands of victims and tens of thousands of witnesses.

But He has time to hear and take action against Comedians.
He has time to take a Suo Motu action against NCERT which included a section on Corruption in Judiciary. Which itself is an action that should be enough to kick him out of his post and all retirement benefits.

But guess what. He is the Judge of whats right and whats wrong. And more than that, he is the Judge of what needs to be discussed and what not.

These guys live off taxpayers money but will leave no stone unturned to make your life hell when destiny takes you to their Court.

They are not the guardians of Justice. They are parasites feeding on it.

Some 50 years ago Emergency and JP movement created a class of people who never voted for Congress ever again. Yesterday BJP created a similar class who will never vote for them. I am One of them.

Anyone who was even minutely politically aware and was not a Congress bhakt at that time would have turned away. A significant share of them would have never turned back towards Congress again.

The omni-present society uncles that we all have seen who feel everyone who goes against BJP or more importantly is a supporter of Congress is an anti national.

Their number is not too much. Probably ~5% of urbanized population. Clubbed with their wives and children who don't have a political opinion of their own, these guys form probably an overall ~10% vote share in urban and semi-urban constituencies. I think rural voting patterns are more on caste and other basis. So we can limit this analysis to such 120 odd urban semi-urban seats (limiting to hindi speaking and understanding belt).

They don't solely determine who wins or lose the election. But they are a formidable force that swing the results heavily in favour of BJP in absence of any non-bjp wave.

So I think that once that population slowly fades away (they are already in their 60-90s) and the current youth which is getting increasingly frustrated with BJP, it will start losing its edge. And in next 10 years all edge will be lost.

Overall the Indian "system" frustrates everyone. Police, bureaucracy, judiciary everything is rotten not only politicians. But what we attribute these problems to in our mind is very much driven by the political narrative.

Those uncles believe all these problems are because of Congress. A similar lot will now slowly start believing that these problems are because of BJP.

I have no political inclination towards Congress or any other party. If anything, I preferred BJP. But I wont vote for BJP ever again after yesterday.

I will choose to believe and echo the same.

सरकार जनता की मालिक नहीं, प्रतिनिधि है। प्रतिनिधि का धर्म जवाब देना है।

Enough is said and discussed. The ask was accountability. They are answering by preparing their guns, blocking the roads, kidnapping the one who was asking questions on our behalf.

All their might was used to defame everyone protesting. They spent a lot of money to promote violence and hatred and chaos and fear.

The courage is coming from the hopeless situation created by you. We are funded by your arrogance.

And yes, we won't stop here today. This will go on until things actually change. And we will make sure today and for centuries to come that those in power cannot run away from accountability forever.

The solution that BJP is taking is to detain Sonam and humiliate him and everyone who stood in solidarity when they could just have a dialogue to end it. That's Arrogance.

Forced feeding is basically a way to humiliate the protesters. Telling that we don't care about your demands. Only thing we care about is break your resolve. Make you insignificant.

Here is a clip from The legend of Bhagat Singh Movie where British government is trying to force feed Bhagat Singh and his friends. This is what forced feeding looks like. Today there may be better way because you have anesthesia and all. But the intent is this however it looks like.

Overall no dialogue, no answers, no press conference nothing. There is no communication channel left.

And we won't even know how they will treat him. The democracy we have is just an illusion.

If Sonam Wangchuk's fast doesn't succeed, we are living in an undeclared Emergency. Its not a Joke.

Even without Emergency, we have no dialogue, no response, no press-conference. Democracy without any democratic values. Democracy only on paper. Only limited to elections, nothing else.

This will be remembered the way Emergency is remembered. Let Bhakts keep justifying today.

Declared emergency might still have been better. At least no one would have gone on fast until death just to get answers from the government. At least they would not have assumed trust in government.

BJP should stop using Emergency card against congress going forward.

If this is what a strong government means which is strong on good people asking for accountability and weak on corrupt, we were better off with weak governments.

I personally will have strong enough reason no never vote for BJP in any election, no matter what.

No protest in last 12 year turned a hardcore BJP supporter into a doubter. Sonam Wangchuk's fast is first because it cuts across religion, profession and age-group. They wont let him die, right?

I have watched this government ride out every protest for the last 12 years. CAA-NRC, the farmers, wrestlers, all of it, and not one of them ever cost it a single hardcore supporter. This fast is the first that has. That is what should scare them.

Think about why. Every earlier protest could be boxed in. CAA belonged to one community. The farmers belonged to one state, one profession, mostly to landowners of Punjab. Same with wrestlers. So the machine did what it always does. It pointed at them and told everyone else, this is not about you, it is about those people. And it worked, every single time. The soft supporters only got harder.

This one they couldnt box in. Sonam Wangchuk is an educationist from Ladakh, not a party man. He is fasting for one thing, accountability for the paper leaks that have wrecked lakhs of students. And a broken exam does not care about your religion, your caste, your state or who you voted for. Unless you are super rich, your child studies in this same system. I saw young parents bring their kids to the protest site. You do not take your children to a foreign funded tamasha. You take them to something you believe is right.

The IT cell ran the old script anyway. Anti national. Foreign funded. Urban naxal. Nothing stuck this time, because there is nothing anti India about a man refusing food so your kids get a fair chance. I know people who have defended this government through everything. This is the first time I have watched them go quiet, and a few switching sides reluctantly.

For the first time there is no 'them' to point at. Just us, our children, and one man slowly starving for them. This time it feels different.

This is how the protest will End. Dharmendra Pradhan will resign Before the Parliament March starts on Monday. But BJP will try to Steal the glory from Sonam's Victory.

TLDR;

There is no other option left for BJP. The focus is now on damage control. All their Usual tactics have failed. But they will still try to incite violence on this weekend. The stars seem to have aligned against BJP this time.

---

Till now:

  • The protest and the fast has already reached enough people that it cannot be ignored.
  • They waited for it to fizz out but it went exponential. They cant wait any longer. Everyday support is getting Multiplied.
  • They tried their usual tricks, labelling it as anti-national etc. But nothing worked this time.
  • Sonam Wangchuk is too respected to be publicly maligned or painted as the bad guy..

What happens now:

  • There's a huge momentum on ground for Monday’s march to parliament. Even Godi media will be covering it for TRP if not soidarity.
  • Opposition has started to extend support. Those who haven’t will do by weekend. They cant afford to be on the wrong side.
  • This Weekend, the crowd there will explode at Jantar Mantar

What BJP will try:

  • It will  try to find some way to break the protest before Monday. Possibly by inciting violence.
  • They will try to save their face by proposing some changes without Dharmendra Pradhan resignation via back channel.
  • They cant even try to force feed him now.

What organisers should focus on:

  • They should pre-plan how they will handle/engage the crowd on the weekend and how to prevent the incitation of violence by BJP.
  • When Opposition people come, they should very strictly prevent them from deviating from topic. Nothing other than education. One mistake and BJP will just destroy it.
  • Opposition Leaders should not share stage with Sonam Wangchuk when making speeches. Organisers should create another stage on the side. They should come on the stage only to meet him.

One thing can be guaranteed. They can’t use force on Students on Monday March. BJP is not that Dumb. And they cannot arrest anyone. That window is over for BJP.

The safest bet for BJP is that Dharmendra Pradhan resigns and says he is resigning against Party line on humanitarian ground as his resignation will save an innocent life without talking about paper leaks etc. Basically he can try to steal the glory from their victory.

Sonam Wangchuk's Fast should get complete attention of those who care. The time is Running Out for him. Everything else including Ethanol, Chanda Chori, Satluj etc can wait. But where is Non-Godi Media?

This guy is on fast since last 16 days. That's no joke. The time is running out for him.

If Godi Media was tasked with this, they would have covered it Day in and Day Out. They would have covered it till our ears bled. If BJP IT Cell was tasked with something like this, they would have filled everyones feed from fb, instagram, twitter, YT, reddit, Every platform with their shit posts.

I know some of them did a few episodes on this. But that is clearly not Enough.

People like Samdish, Ravish, Punya Prasun Vajpayee, Abhisar, Akash Bannerjee who call themselves anti-establishment need to level up. BJP guys and Godi Media works full time. You cannot beat them doing it Part time.

And if these guys cannot put in the extra effort today. They should not cry that government and masses do not listen to them.

I mean, I dont know, Is Samdish busy interviewing useless people like Teju Bhaiyya and Manoj Tiwari or some Film Star who have no idea about real world these days? Why cant they cover it everyday till fast continues. Like mainstream media does it. And dont tell me the usual shit about lack of resources. You can capture good enough with an iPhone.

The noise is needed to make the deafs listen.

Why is Sonam Wangchuk's fast not the biggest topic today? What is missing? Why are not enough people talking about it? 15 days fast is no Joke as some people are trying to portray.

I am very confused about how things are going.

- This guy has been fasting for the last 16 days. His health is in very bad shape right now.

- He is fasting for a cause that impacts every indian in a way, even if many of them do not understand it.

- He is not a man of questionable character or having any criminal charges etc. He is a well educated person who has dedicated his life to education and welfare of people.

- He is not totally insignificant. He is probably more significant than Anna Hazare was when he started the fast in IAC.

My question to the people here is what is missing. Why is he not getting enough attention. What can be done to bring the attention of the masses and the government.

IMO, few things that are causing this are:

- Opposition is not asking the government to pay attention. I get it that CJP doesn't want political interference and that's the best part of this protest. But opposition not talking about it is basically dumb on their part.

- BJP IT cell has successfully made everyone to think that anyone protesting is irrelevant, anti national or andolan-jeevi etc.

- People like Samdish, News Pinch, and other independent YouTube based media channels are also not covering it for some reason.

- Abhijeet Dipke is not able to establish any conversation or capture attention which is required for such movements.

I think last reason may be the biggest contributing factor. But this can also be overcome.

Let's not discuss how IAC was funded by BJP. Those things don't add any value.

At Jantar Mantar today. I came from a poor family. Today I earn very well. All because of one exam that was conducted well 15 years back.

Yes. That exam is the single biggest event that transformed the life of me and my family. Probably for generations to come.

I think there are so many more people like me in India. Most of the people in IITs, NITs, state and national Medical colleges come from lower, lower middle-class families.

I feel visiting Jantar Mantar is a very small contribution I could do to ensure that a free and fair system of examinations remains fair that can pull families out of poverty. Or show that it's an important topic.

Politicians and Judges are sold for money. You don't go there for justice. Education along with a fair evaluation system gives you the Justice that you deserve.

I think more people like me should visit Jantar Mantar once to tell the people with power that it's important.

The Cockroach Must Now Shift Its Focus to The Lack of Accountability in India to Stay Relevant

Resignation of the education minister cannot be the only ask. That doesn't change anything. The revolution that has started cannot end only on the resignation of a useless minister. Even if he resigns he will probably go to his Holiday Home and Chill and continue to receive all perks. And also thanking us that we relieved him of the Delhi summer heat. While some equally useless minister will occupy that chair.

I don't know about everyone, but I feel the biggest problem of India/Bharat is the lack of accountability.

Politicians, Sarkari Babus, Contractors, Exam organizers, Police, no one is held accountable for anything going wrong in this country. Even if someone is convicted , max they face is suspension/ transfer, sometimes a fine of 5000 Rs. Once in a while, to set an example, the judge may force them to write an essay. And no wonder why no one is accountable.

This problem does not go away if the government changes. Put any government at any level, the system will keep on humiliating us. Papers will keep on leaking. Bridges will keep falling. People will keep dying. We will go on paying bribes for everything between birth certificates and death certificates.

Because no one is afraid of courts/judiciary apart from us who even go to a basic protest with a fear that we may get into a lifelong trouble from courts and police. Because there is no place for any Accountability whatsoever.

The judiciary, which has the responsibility of ensuring accountability, itself is not accountable for anything.

It can not be changed until we all ask for it. Wdyt?

How STT kills trades in Indian Equity Markets

Had been running a lot of backtests and just when i thought i had got some edge, I found that when i deduct the govt charges, I am dead. On top of this govt will take another 30% in income tax (or probably 20 % stcg) each year.

Note: This was short term swing trading non intraday. No FnO. Was trading only in NSE top 1000 stocks

Any libraries for order placement

Let's assume that I have some profitable strategy that has been backtested. When I convert it to live trading, I see good amount of slippage which is expected. But the trading engine currently just places the entire order all at once. So say I am buying 5 lakh worth of shares, it places a single buy order with that amount. It works practically but I think I can reduce the slippage if I follow a better order execution strategy.

My current plan is to build a separate execution layer where I submit the order and it uses one of the multiple execution strategies for order placement.

For example I can just chunk it out in n equal parts and place market orders. Or I can place limit orders after chunking out and dynamically change the limit if the order does not fully in a given amount of time and other such intelligent execution strategies.

Implementation can probably be done over a weekend. But I feel it will be a huge task to perfect it and fix bugs.

So the question is if there are existing python libraries that can do it that any of you have used for trading in Indian equity markets that I should explore. Chatgpt suggest that backtesting libraries like backtrader and nautilus trader provide it. I will explore them. But want to know if someone has some first hand experience about it and would like to share some suggestions.
