Where to get last minute 16x20?

Made an order with cvs today.. first store’s order got canceled and I made a second at another store. They literally ran out of ink printing the photo before ours… They sent us to another CVS and that one wouldn’t be open long enough to print the photo. That CVS sent us to another that would be open and had the capability. We get there and they inform us that they actually do not have a big enough printer.. all the stores are closed now..

I’m blindsided because I’ve always used CVS for all my same day prints. But I guess they’re phasing out scanners and large printers. The funeral is tomorrow.

Do you guys have any tips for getting 16x20s extremely last minute? 10AM start… starting to feel hopeless about it.

I don’t want them to take my mom away without me seeing her one last time

Sorry if there is a more appropriate funeral sub than this, this one is the one that came up on google for me..

My mother is being cremated. We want to do a “public” viewing for close friends who may need that closure, followed by a closed casket service, and then what I would like is a private viewing time after. Because the thought of saying goodbye before the service and then sitting through the service and then them taking her away without me getting one last moment with her body is hard to imagine.

The problem is that it’s customary here to serve food after the service. Would it be in poor taste to have a private viewing after the service while the other guests are eating? I wouldn’t advertise that we are doing this necessarily, we would just show up late to the food. I don’t imagine we will eat anyway.

Recommend a stencil/stamp that is the same as the cousin weekly pages? (Date box + hourly timeline that matches grid)

Does anyone know of a stencil or maybe a roller stamp that is the same as the weekly layout in the cousin? I moved to a day free as the freedom really suits me better but on busier weeks I do appreciate a weekly layout with the hourly timeline. I drew my own recently but it’s pretty time consuming.

Best odor free way to hold used bags until you take them to the trash?

trying to upgrade our system a bit here. On a bit of a spree as I also just ordered the iprimio mat I’m excited to try!

anyway, multiple cats means our LR3 realistically has about 3 days before the drawer needs emptying. But nothing else in our house goes out to the dump that quickly so I’m finding I either forget/put off taking it out (and have bags of used litter lying around, ew) or I double bag it and throw it into the main trash (stinks still). I’ve also tried an Ubbi pail and the scent that was released when I opened the pail… my god…

is a diaper genie a good work around for this? Tired of being a cat house that smells like a cat house even with a LR.

What do you guys use for multi step project tracking?

My role in life has turned into manager of the household, and there are approx. 1 million goals to achieve around here. They all take multiple steps and cant get done in one go, so I need to keep track of them.

previously I was keeping a bullet list on my phone and adding in a line about the most recent progress as needed. This works great but I want to be on my phone less and use my planner more. But I of course can’t just scooch in an extra line where I need it if I already wrote past that point. on my A6 hobonichi I guess I could use daily pages with labeled tabs? not sure

bonus points if the strategy is something I can do in my hobonichi but im open to other systems.

▲ 17 r/nursing

Please help me before I leave the profession entirely! 😩 I do not want those 4 years to be in vain. Extra certifications are ok, but I don’t want to become a CRNA or NP or anything of the sort. What other avenues are there to break out of this?

vent:

The pay in nursing is just not worth the level of stress, liability, and abuse by the system (*ahem*… insane patient loads, constant “accidental” understaffing, sending PCTs home until they’re always understaffed too, etc.). For those of you that work at good hospitals, I love that for you, but I work where there are no unions and there are far, far more nurses than job positions (and I can’t move or travel nurse). And, in the lower stress positions you often don’t get paid as much as the already low salary nurses make for their expertise and effort.

I made more as a waitress with a hell of a lot less stress and butt wiping, to be real with you. but I love nursing and don’t want to leave it… it’s a shame
