I had a very hard experience and I don’t want to go to many specifics.

I was very close with two people and we had a terrible falling out. I reconnected with one of them and it brought back so many memories. I went back and looked through old messages and it made me really emotional thinking about what we had and how special I felt it was.

My question is for those who have reconnected with people you “lost”. How do you cope with the fact that it may never be what it once was? It makes me beyond sad thinking about never having that same connection or friendship again and I really don’t know how to deal with it, I feel like a burden talking to other people about it so I thought maybe it would be a good idea to post here.

For context I desperately want to pick up where we left off and have it be the same…But I know it might not ever be, and worry they don’t care about that as much as I do /:

I’m curious to get some input from those in public accounting. I recently transitioned from agency recruiting into a Corporate Recruiter role with a Top 10 public accounting firm.

The lower response rates are definitely something I expected, but I’d love to hear your perspective. If you’re in public accounting, what type of LinkedIn InMail or outreach message are you most likely to respond to? Are there certain things that catch your attention or make you more open to a conversation?
Or is the reality that many professionals in public accounting simply aren’t interested in moving from one public accounting firm to another?

Hello Everyone!

I am looking for a DJ in July of 2027 in the Danbury CT area. I am looking for someone who will play a lot of hip hop (Drake, 21 Savage, Etc.). As well as some Taylor Swift (other similar artists for the mrs.), and other top music on the charts. I am also looking to mix in some nostalgic vibes as well (50 cent, T-pain, The Killers, panic at the disco etc.).

Ideally i’d like to keep my budget around $2K. Thanks for any and all reccomendations!
