Dinosaur of a White stage 1 doesn't really lift, stage 2 works fine.
Not so much a "How do we fix this" but more "How screwed/what should we expect" . 1970s White forklift with a two stage mast and tilt. Stage 2 operates absolutely fine when you can get there. Tilt works fine. Stage 1 though takes an absolute eternity (measured in minutes) to lift and sounds like the pump is cavitating while on the first stage. Dropping is fine, no weird sounds or anything.
I'm assuming with the age the thing isn't worth any real efforts but would this be something that would be fixable in 5 decades on, or just look for a new lift?
