One of the best nights of my life 7/4

Going solo was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Met so many cool people. The crowd was awesome, and seeing Jack was even better. Big thanks to the dude who kindly offered a few hits off his *cigarette*, which made the experience top tier.

Worth it to go solo?

Never seen Jack before, always wanted to. Got 2 tickets, buddy bailed. Cant find anyone else to go tomorrow night in Noblesville. Kinda debating weather or not to just stay home

POSSIBLE state record-spotted gar

Our cheap and super old digital scale showed it to be a couple ounces off, so the official weigh in is tomorrow. Fingers crossed it wasn’t exact!

New spring received (red)

Got my replacement spring in today, almost a week on the dot from when customer service said they’d send it.

In case some unfortunate bastard has the same issues with their Canik, this will serve as an up to date timeline on warranty parts replacement.

Gonna try and get out on the range tomorrow to see if the out of battery issues clear up.

2026 Opening Day

My 2026 bird. Shortest hunt I’ve ever had. Between walking in, setting up and walking out, it was maybe an hour. Everything went how I wanted, but looking back I should have waited a bit and enjoyed it more. Single tag state, so this was a short season.

Got my baseplate from Hurley Welding this morning

Gave me an excuse to go punch a few holes. Grip feels better, and no more empty space. Gonna have to order a couple more of these.

Anyone know how long they’re taking to ship out parts for warranty right now?

I ended up pushing a few hundred more rounds through the new gun, as prescribed, and the issue persisted. Once I sent that message, they replied almost immediately

Although issues with the firearm are frustrating, customer service has been anything but slow!

Had been loyal to Ruger for some time, figured I’d try something new for my EDC. Put the MC9 through its first 100 rounds. About every 3rd shot - out of battery.

Now the waiting game with customer service

At least it looks nice lol
