It's Almost A Parody
The performative recovery is paramount. Talk about authenticity for the duration of your time in the spotlight. But dare to attempt authenticity , you will be sidelined .
It was after reading Bill Hicks Biography thst I joined Aa . Yoi could say that he 12 stepped me many years ago. I had no idea he was sober when he did rant in E minor. It blew me away that you could be so brutally honesr and funny witbout using alcohol.
I was also in a really bad place at the time . Alcohol isn't in the leaat bit attractive to me , especially seeing it's effects on other people who have been drinking for years.
I can't put it into words Aa also seems to kill people inside . I wonder if Bill Hicks was alive today what his take on it would be. He had a real gift for calling shit out. Vic Palmer does this excellently and thank goodness for this.
He's a real antidote to the soul destroying performance of recovery.
