I believe from looking at satellite imagery that the mosaic forestry company is actively logging valley giant / rivers edge old growth in the koksilah watershed. Leaving little buffer and devouring some of the last stands of these vital ecological treasures.
My heart breaks for our island and it’s forests.

Anyone see the success of Granville street pedestrian zone (so much so, consideration for keeping it after the World Cup) and wonder if Government could do something similar? Rather than this quasi pedestrian zone, quasi car zone? Or is this thought out in left field, lol? Just commit to it? Other streets in Victoria? Cook (@village)? Wharf?
