Baby steps...

Every day makes a little more, very small, progress... 😬 Hard to stay motivated when there so much confetti 🎊🤡

Alas I will not give up! A little more than half way. Thinking I should start doing smaller sections.

How do I properly care for my new roommate, Billy Bob?

When he first came around I wasn't sure what to do with him, so I put him outside and then went to work but when I came home he was at the door, and walked in as soon as I got the door open. So now he's my roommate. I am terrified of spiders. I came from an apartment where it was basically infested with wolf spiders, brown recluse, etc. I still run and scream when I see a spider. But he chose my home. And I want to keep him alive and comfortable. Should I build him an enclosure? I don't want to trap him, never had a spider for a pet. Can I talk to him? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I've named him Billy Bob Thornton.

Making friends

Super nervous about letting him walk on me. I know they are harmless to humans (I think?) but still, never held a spider. Actually terrified of them. But he's a little cutie and I would never hurt him.

EDIT: I just wanted to say that, this fairly lonely moment in time, in my house with the only emotional support creature I'm able to have has really touched so many people. Makes me feel a little less lonely. Thank you 🫶🏻

It's a big canvas with lots of color variations, and it's taking me forever. Sometimes I'll pull several colors at once, two in two or three trays. Sometimes I think it helps speed things up. But this one section has taken me three hours.

I don't have much of a social life these days. It's difficult trying to make friends at middle age. Ideally I'd like to make more female friends around my age. But I'm open to talking to anyone who is respectful.
