Does increasing dose, increase duration?

So I'm currently on 40mg for maybe around 7 days or so. Definitely noticed some positives however one main negative is that I feel it wearing off around 2pm. I start to become a bit lethargic, unmotivated, brain foggy etc..

I have my 4 week titration appointment tomorrow and unsure weather to ask for a) an increase from 40mg to 50mg, b)adding another dose around 2pm b) adding a booster of a different med to use when I need to be productive in the afternoons.

Does increasing actually increase the duration? As I'm happy with it's effect and don't particularly want it to be stronger in that way. And taking a second Vyvanse dose in the afternoon apparently can cause insomnia?

Any advice or personal experience would be great to hear.

Suddenly enjoying watching football or playing a game on my phone again?

So I've been titrating on Elvanse for a few weeks... Among some negatives and positives.. one very strange positive effect I have noticed is,

I've started to enjoy watching sports and playing strategy games on my phone. Before meds, I found football so so boring and couldn't see the technical side of it.. Just a ball going around a field with very few bursts of excitement. Same with games, 10minutes and I'm bored of every game... Now, I'm able to take the time and discover it's intricate details

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Medication breaks - Weekends are too much when medicated

I'm wondering how many of you take breaks when on medication? I've been on titration for around 9/10 days now taking Vyvanse 30mg. I had it over the weekend and felt very strange/disconnected. However when I'm at work I feel locked in, focused and relaxed.

I just wonder if it's best to take during the week when there's actually things to focus on or get done, and take a break on the weekend when I'm just being creative and hanging with family 🤔

I guess in titration I shouldn't really do this, but I can't bear another weekend feeling like I did.. Which was very dulled out, not enjoying time with family, and a bit overstimulated. Like wanting to just get away 🤔

Feeling like a zombie on day 5 of titration?!

Hi all,

I recently started my titration through Care ADHD who have been wonderful. As have been taking bupoprion for about 2 years, my psych initially suggested concerta, but (stupidly) I asked if we could try elvanse as I had read alot of positive stories about it. He agreed and started me on 30mg.

However, after a couple days of feeling very calm, relaxed and productive at work. I began to feel... Well, nothing. Just a bit dulled out and numb. This was worst yesterday, where I just felt like an empty shell at a family gathering.

Also, last night I went to bed a slept for two hours, then was up at 1am for no reason, feeling dizzy, headache and I had symptoms of restless legs where I struggle to lay still for any period of time.

Because of this, Ive paused taking the dose this morning as I'm really not sure if this is normal titration? Or a bad interaction with bupoprion (both effect dopamine and norepinephrine). Or is this maybe not the right med, and perhaps concerta is best after all?

Any advice or personal stories of titration would be helpful 😊

Elvanse titration help- Feeling emotionally numb (Day 5)

Did the emotional flatness on Elvanse get better during titration?

I'm on Day 4 of Elvanse 30 mg and I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this.

On the first couple days I felt really calm, focused, present and relaxed.. However now, the first few hours after taking it I feel calm and my mind is clear.. However after a couple hours I feel significantly emotionally flat. Not sad or anxious, just like my emotions have been turned down. Things that would normally make me feel something just seem a bit... "meh". I don't really feel excitement, enjoyment or much emotional connection.

I'm also taking bupropion XL 300 mg, which I've been on for over a year without any issues, so the Elvanse is the only new variable.

For anyone who experienced this:

- Did the emotional flatness improve as your brain adjusted during titration?

- Did it change when you increased your dose?

- Or was it a sign that Elvanse just wasn't the right medication for you?

I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences.

First day on Elvanse: Surprisingly subtle, but in the best way

I currently take bupropion 300 mg and have done for just over a year. I've recently started titration with Elvanse, beginning at 30 mg alongside it.

I was really nervous about taking Elvanse because I expected to feel wired, overstimulated, and full of energy—which was the last thing I wanted.

But honestly, it's been the complete opposite so far. It's very subtle (perhaps because it's only the starting dose), but I feel more present, less stuck in my own head, and more aware of everything around me—smells, sights, textures, even little details I'd normally overlook.

I still can't sit still, so it's certainly not a magic fix, but I'm genuinely surprised by how subtle it is.

The best analogy I can think of is this: it's as though my brain has always been like a radio that never quite tuned into the right frequency, and Elvanse has simply nudged the dial onto the correct station. Everything feels a little clearer and less noisy.

My titration plan is 30 mg for two weeks, then 40 mg for another two weeks. After that we'll review how things are going and increase to 50 mg if needed.

Elvanse - First ADHD medication

So, I got prescribed Elvanse from CARE ADHD (they're so good by the way, 9 months from referral to meds!).

But I'm a bit unsure what to expect on the first day or two. Should I take the day off work? Will I be super wired?

I usually have a high-protein breakfast, about 50g, and drink lots of water.

P.S. I'm also on bupropion 300mg, been on it for over a year.

What is going on?

This was posted on Saturday. And today it's showing multiple errors? I live near Cambridge UK, so not sure why it's bouncing around like this. Would it still arrive tomorrow?

It's medicine, so quite important.

Bupoprion and Vyvanse

I had my titration appointment a few days ago and am now waiting for my medication to arrive. I've been prescribed 30mg Vyvanse. My psychiatrist initially suggested Concerta XL, but after reading a lot of positive experiences with Vyvanse, I asked if I could try that first.

The main thing I'm wondering about is that I'm also taking 300mg bupropion (Wellbutrin), which I've been on for over a year for mood regulation and anxiety. It's worked really well for me so far. Unfortunately, my psychiatrist can only advise on ADHD medications, so I couldn't get any guidance on whether I should continue taking the bupropion or not.

Has anyone here been on this combination before? I know both medications affect dopamine and norepinephrine, so my main concern is overstimulation. My psychiatrist said it should be fine at 30mg and plans to increase me to 40mg after two weeks if all goes well. He did mention keeping an eye out for signs of serotonin syndrome, though.

I'd be really interested to hear other people's experiences with this combination. 🤔
