I count at least 6 mildly bad drivers, how about you?
This is a typical drive to the store for me. Is it like this everywhere? Am I being harsh or are there a lot of mildly bad drivers around me?

I meant to give updates sooner but was hustling to finish in time. When I picked my boy up yesterday I made him keep the dogs out of the living room while I did the last little bit. I have a busy couple days ahead but on Sunday I plan to finish clearing off the table, mop the kitchen floor, and clean up the office. Thank you all for the support!
If things were going as planned I would be done already but... yesterday I spent longer than expected on a project for a client, then I went to a friend's house to watch her kids for hours while she and her husband helped her parents because the bottom gave out of their water heater. It's about to rain for three days so I had to prioritize mowing the yard and got that done first thing this morning. Thank goodness my parents said it's okay for me to leave my kid with them for an extra night.
This is the current status of the living room and kitchen, and close-ups of my dressers because they are the only furniture that truly shows the dust in pictures. I know it looks like clutter is the only problem, but there is a hidden layer of dirt on everything in the house certainly doesn't smell clean yet.
I haven't touched the office, but have done 7 loads of laundry, made progress in the kitchen, am about to change my sheets and get them into the washer before I start vacuuming and dusting. Finishing the kitchen and the dining room table are the two biggest tasks I have left. Hopefully I can stay motivated to get it all done before I fall asleep tonight because I'm picking my boy up very first thing in the morning.
Just found out I will have company next week so I need to declutter and really clean every part of my house. My kid is spending tonight and tomorrow night with his grandparents so I want to complete as much as possible while he's away. Posting before pictures because knowing somebody will appreciate the after keeps me motivated to achieve. Thanks for the support!
Cruise control should hold a steady speed, not be a way for people to pay less attention to what's in front of them. ACC illuminates brake lights when slowing down and creates a chain reaction and phantom traffic jams. It traffic is so heavy you need to frequently adjust your speed you shouldn't have cruise turned on. When traffic is moderate traditional cruise control works wonderfully. Simply pay attention to your surroundings and adjust the set speed as needed.
A driver can decide if gradually slowing is sufficient or if braking is required. A driver can tell when there's no reason to speed up quickly because they will catch right up to more traffic. ACC can't accurately assess surroundings and allows people to pay less attention than they should.
What are your thoughts on ACC?
My personal complaints:
I'm cruising in the right lane, and somebody gets in front of me. All good until they approach a slower car and slow down rather than changing lanes. I'm maintaining the same speed so I move left to pass. That's when they notice they've slowed down so they move in too close in front of me and I have to slow down while they regain speed. Every time it happens I can't help but think about the fuel economy I'm losing because of somebody's inattentiveness.
When I've been in rentals with ACC I've never liked it. In some cars it's easy to switch to traditional cruise control but not always. ACC systems are too cumbersome with settings for follow distance, acceleration rate and deceleration rate. Which setting is appropriate changes based on surrounding traffic and it's not just one button to make an adjustment. I think new cars should go back to traditional cruise control where it's either on or off and you can speed up or slow down a little bit by pressing one button.
When I'm driving with ACC active and somebody driving fast pulls in front, ACC brakes hard and burns extra gas getting back up to speed plus causes everyone behind me to have to slow down for no reason because the speeder was only too close in front of me for a split second.
OK, rant over. Does anybody else think ACC is not an improvement over traditional cruise control?
Accident occurs halfway through clip. Included first part to show road layout and cammer speed.
I'm having trouble staying in a cleaning mood today. Hoping some people here are motivated today and want to share that feeling, or that other people struggling today can feel better knowing they're not alone.
I started by walking through the whole house and putting all trash into trash cans. Now I'm working on getting things into the rooms where they belong. Then I will sort laundry and get a load started before I start on the kitchen.
Edit: not taking the time to reply to the comments, but I am reading them. Thank you all so much. Taking little breaks to read what everyone is working on is really helping me stay on task today.
I've basically been on a laundry marathon, but have also made progress in both bedrooms and the living room. I totally should've worked in the kitchen today, but I'm very pleased with what I've gotten accomplished instead.
Just installed a cheap dash cam and it consistently displays 2 to 3 miles an hour faster than my actual speed. If I'm in an accident and need to use the footage... will the speed discrepancy become an issue when determining fault?
Ex: if I'm going 21 in a 20 and somebody pulls out in front of me and we have a minor crash but my dash cam says I was going 24, will insurance determine me to be partially at fault for speeding or still 100% other driver fault for failing to yield?
I'm a big worrier and bought the dash cam for additional peace of mind but now it's kind of stressing me out. Am I concerned about nothing or should I be saving some videos that prove the dash cam speed is wrong?
