Surely I’m not the only one that finds it so incredibly difficult to be on the phone to customer support. The low quality audio and screeching paired with the heavy breathing and background noise of everyone else on the phone has become far too common with my calls lately.

23yo, SA. Living with parents with ~$85,000 savings.

Currently mid-renovation on my parents’ old house, which I’m buying off them as an investment property:

Agreed price: $500,000 Already paid $30,000 deposit Paying the rest weekly, direct to them (no bank, nothing formal yet) Seeing a conveyancer within the month to finalise title transfer and stamp duty (~$26,000)

I also want to buy a second property soon as my own primary residence.

Questions:

Should I lock in a home loan for my primary residence before paying the $26k stamp duty on the investment property while my borrowing capacity/cash position is strongest?

Once the private “loan” from my parents becomes formal, how do banks typically treat that arrangement when assessing me for a separate home loan?

Appreciate all your help and please let me know if this kind of post doesn’t suit the subs guidelines.

Hi all. Been using a Lenovo Explorer for a while now. Getting pretty tired of low resolution and seeing through a black circle - not being able to feel immersed.

Been looking at the Bigscreen Beyond 2 but have been put off by the bad experiences and the ‘archaic’ base-stations.

I then started digging into the Dream Air SE but have seen many bad reviews of them too.

Found some Quest 3’s second hand for $750AUD ($525USD). And wondering if that will be enough of an upgrade to enjoy Flight and Racing Sims.

I want a simple usb dial/knob/rotary switch for my PC that will be recognised as an axis as opposed to key inputs like a standard volume knob. I can’t seem to find anything. The closest thing I can think of is this - but 360 instead of 180. What does something like this use for the axis so I can maybe try make myself.

All it has to do is be a 360° axis.

Any suggestions?
