“It does not make you less of a man to have depression, to wear your heart on your sleeve, to admit that you sometimes struggle... Mental illness has nothing to do with 'manning' or toughening up.”

I’m not ok tonight… and I’m ok with that feeling, cause it too shall pass

The paradox of our time

Is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers

Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints

We spend more, but we have less.

We have bigger houses, but smaller families

More conveniences, but less time.

We have more degrees, but less sense

More knowledge, but less judgement

More experts, but more problems

More medicines, but less wellness.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.

We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often

We have learnt how to make a living, but not a life.

We have added years to life, but not life to years.

We've been all the way to the moon and back

But have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.

We have conquered outer space, but not inner space.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted our soul.

We've split the atom, but not our prejudice.

We've higher incomes, but lower morals.

We've become long on quantity but short on quality.

These are the times of tall men, and short character;

Steep profits, and shallow relationships.

These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare,

More leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition.

These are the days of two incomes, but more divorces;

Of fancier houses, but broken homes.

It is a time when there is much in the show window, and nothing in the stockroom.

A time when technology can bring this letter to you,

And a time when you can choose,

Either to make a difference .... or just hit, delete.

Thank you Corey Taylor for sayin this…if you need to, reach out to someone, ANYONE

"There is nothing on this planet worth ending your life over, because everything that comes after is fascinating. Whether it's problems at school, growing up in a dark home, or just trying to survive a life that feels out of control, there is always a way out. Everything is temporary-the pain is temporary. You are stronger than you think. You will get through this and so much more. "

727,000 people yearly. 61,000 people monthly. 2,000 people daily. 83 people every hour. 1 person every 45 seconds…. By the time you finish this, statistically someone lost the battle. It’s 3x more likely it was a male. Please, if you need support reach out to someone. Anyone. Don’t be another number

I don’t know how needs to hear this rn, but I promise you. it gets better. life will get better. a quote that got me thru some dark times that I remind myself daily of is…”I hope you woke today to someone loving you. and you know who, you know who I really hope that someone was… I hope that someone was you”.

Since I don’t really Reddit much, yall know where the best place to find someone who would wanna do illustrations to go with a short story I have? I think it would be fun to see as a graphic novel style thing, but I can’t draw well worth sh!t. Any advice of where to post? Are anyone here curious?
