Dangerous and Rude SEPTA Driver

My friend had this happen to her last Friday.

"I was riding in the bike lane on Spruce this past Friday around 38th st and a bus passed me too close and then swerved into my lane cutting me off. I yelled an obscenity. They then swerved back into their lane. I caught up with them at the their next stop after he had crossed the bike lane again to pick people up at the stop.

As I caught up with the bus the driver flicked me off in the rear view mirror. I was like ‘wtf man you are at work and you cut ME off.’ He then said ‘nobody cares about you and fuck you.’ I told him I needed the number for his manager. He refused and told me to get out of the way so he could cross the bike lane again and proceed with his route. I refused. People started getting off the bus yelling at me to get out of the way. I called 911. I said there’s a dangerous bus driver who’s showing no regard or concern for my safety. They said they couldn’t do anything but gave me the number for Septa. I called Septa and filed a complaint about the driver. Have not heard back. "

Sierra McNeil defeats incumbent Keith Harris in Pennsylvania House District 195 Democratic primary

Sierra McNeil trounced "incumbent" Keith Harris in the 195th district of the PA State House. Harris was only an "incumbent" because party insiders had selected him to be the representative after Donna Bullock resigned to take over Project HOME. He had never been in a real election.

It was a 3 way race, but she more than doubled the vote total of Harris and was even further in front of 3rd place (Kenneth Walker), winning 54% of the vote to Harris' 26% to Walker's 20%

Interestingly, she outran Chris Rabb in every single ward by a wide margin. She was endorsed by the Working Families Party and Reclaim Philadelphia (among others.)

The 195 is almost entirely within the 5th city council district and Councilmember Jeffery Young Jr. endorsed Kenneth Walker in this race.

A crazy driver recklessly drove through a bunch of wheelie kids on the Grays Ferry Bridge, then minutes later shot and killed one of them and wounded another. A friend shot this video with their kid on the back of their bike.

Driving culture in Philly is out of control.
