Does anyone know if the Mann Center in Philly closes for thunderstorms?
I'm thinking of going to the show tonight in Philly....but I can look at a weather radar map and it looks like likely thunderstorms precisely during the entire time of the show.

I'm a big sports fan and would love to go to a World Cup rally day of the game if one was going on. Anyone know if one is?

Just curious if Comcast announcing it will split today should impact Philly given the fact it's one of the major employers here.
We'll be driving the Blue Ridge Parkway this summer and I'm looking for a place or two north of Roanoake that might be good to stop with kids. This could be near a playground, a not too hard hike, some attraction that's kid friendly....anything!
Anyone have any recs?
I'm coming to the park with an elderly relative in a wheelchair. We'll get there like 10:30. Is that too late to get a wheel chair or are there usually enough for everyone?
My spouse was diagnosed two years ago with celiac disease and is sadly super sensitive to gluten cross contamination.
Are there any restaurants at Dollywood or Splash Country that maybe are able to handle food for someone with these needs? I'm guessing not but maybe someone here has good info for me.
I stupidly left my AAA card at home. I had booked my Dream More room with the discount. Will they ask for the card when I check in?
Someone Brazilian is living with us. We wanna get her some Brazilian food. We're in west philly. I know there are places in Northeast. Anyone closer though with Brazilian food?
I've read contradictory things and am curious if anyone knows. I wanna bike down and just hang out with people tailgating the World Cup. I'd be entering on foot.
Will I be able to enter the parking lots on foot without a ticket? Or will that be restricted?

I'm going to switch to AT&T but have heard stories of people with the Kompakt and then AT&T discontinuing the service. Is that a concern I should have?
I work on a podcast and we wanna do an episode where we have a proponent and opponent of data centers talk. We're looking for a good oppponent voice.
Any names or organizations that are intelligent and well spoken and worth checking out?
I have never heard of Noble Mobile before, and while the LPIII deal with them is intriguing, I am understandably worried.
Any advice or opinions on the company?
I've been editing with a MP4 file but the client just got me the full rez version as a movie file. They had originally grabbed the film as a MP4 from the internal SD they shot in).
The MP4 they gave me was 11GB but the Mov file is 64 GB so im guessing the MOV will look a bit better (although tell me if I'm wrong).
I've already been editing, and in the ideal world, I just reconnect the MP4 to the MOV. That said, it seems like I can't do that. FCP X wont let me and it tells me they need to be the same codec.
Any advice?
I'm editing a short for a business client. It's an academic place. I am using one interview I was given that has a tremendously ugly background. The guy is seated the whole time and isnt a very physically animated speaker but doesnt sit completely still.
What options do I have to try and turn the background into something that maybe it looks like he's in front of? My thought is if I do this and use fairly quick cuts of him, I can kind of cheat it. I do not want to do this if it's obvious I'm fixing this in post.
Any advice for how to try something?
I did use the Scene Removal Mask but it still leaves some of the bright blinders behind him so doesn't really work.
We're doing a family trip in June, and the grandparents will join for some of it. They're intrigued by spending time with the kids in the water park, but worry it means lots of time in the sun. Part of me suspects though the park is very well constructed with lots of shade.
So.....if someone hates being exposed to the sun, can they still enjoy themselves at the splash park?
I am working on a project. One shooter uses a Canon camera, and when I import the footage, the codec is XFGA. It works fine in Final Cut....and I'll be doing project editing in Final Cut....but I can't open any of these files with something like VLC. When I try to open in VLC, I get told "VLC could not decode the format "xfga."
Should I just edit as is, using the files FCP X created when importing? I dont see why not....but I've also never worked with this codec before or not been able to open something in VLC, so perhaps down the line this might be a problem.
Any advice?
My patio isn't large and I love a hammock. What's a good one that I can collapse easily and put in the corner when not using?
