I am new to Environmental health and looking for boot/shoe recommendations for someone who’s working primarily in well and septic. I’ve heard that waterproof boots/shoes are highly recommended. What recommendations do yall have?
I just got my first emergency preparedness job with a local health department. I have no formal education in emergency management and was curious what certifications and certificate programs I should get to help me in my career long term.
Hello, I recently got an offer for a job working with wells and septic primarily. Does anyone have recommendations of work backpacks that are preferably waterproof and functional. Preferably aren’t super expensive.
Hello, I work outdoors quite a bit for my job and like having a digital smart watch. I have the fenix 5 sapphire currently and it’s pretty solid. Is it worth upgrading to the 7 or 8 or to a different line of garmin watches?
Is there a reasonable route from REHS with the county government to working in HSE/EHS in private industry or consulting?
I am on the hunt for a polyphonic synth for $300 or less to make pads and soundscapes for my music. I have been using free synth vsts for quite a while and want to dip my toes into hardware. I have seen a microkorg, microfreak, mininova, ultranova, and minilogue at that price point. Are there any others I should consider or any insight on these synths?
I was curious if anyone had recommendations for good vocal/singing coaches in Durham area.
I was curious if anyone has suggestions for non-metal or unique looking 7 strings. I feel like in general most 7 strings have an ultra modern shreddy look to them which is cool, but not for me. I recognize that it is very prevalent in the metal genre so the sharp edges and modern look might be what’s popular.
Does anyone have any recommendations for comfortable drop bars for my road bike commuter conversion?
I have been working on an ep for a couple months collaborating with people to make a somewhat polished rock ep. I really enjoy working on it but I have other completely unrelated ideas that are more experimental and more low effort. I am thinking about putting all this music into a separate project but idk if it’s worth uploading it anywhere or anything. How do yall go about your low effort “just for fun” second projects?
Hello,
I am a year out of grad school working in a temp job where my contract runs out in the next year. I have been trying to be proactive about applying for jobs with the hopes of getting a permanent role I truly enjoy.
However due to the market in my industry there are not many jobs and a lot of people searching. I have applied to quite a few jobs where I catered my resume to the description and felt I aligned with the qualifications really well just to get an auto rejection before ever getting an interview. I am losing motivation to apply for jobs and actually get anxious when I see a job I would like to apply for and feel is a good fit because I feel like I’ve been down this road before.
Any advice on getting past these feelings hopelessness and potentially some advice or things to do to improve my chances?
