NYC site supervisor just strong armed me?
Hey guys, i’m a nervous wreck rn. I’ve been working at my new site at allied since June with no problem, 0 write-ups even with the new ETK system. I picked up 2 LISA shifts for today and what i thought was tomorrow night. Turns out the midnight shift was for tonight and I have no way of getting all the way to Staten Island on time for said shift. That site supervisor calls me and in a condescending tone/manner and says that because I called off 2 hours before shift he has to issue me a (VERBATIM) “FINAL WRITE UP”.
Now admittedly, I take fault for not looking at the times when picking up shifts correctly, but when I asked him what that meant he said “You have one more write up then you’re terminated. We’re rolling out a new book and in my book we’d take it even farther but I’m gonna contact your AOP and let her know”.
Now I’ve never gotten written up ever before but I thought something like this usually gets you a verbal write-up, or maybe one before the “FINAL”? I’m so confused, I obviously googled my situation and their AI told me that he was being unlawful and overstepping his power but I know that isn’t as reliable as a group with coworkers lol. I texted my main AOP but it’s 10:30PM so I doubt she’ll get back to me.
Is what he said true & Would I be on my final write up for this one mistake?
