I've been struggling to find this armor's name on the UESP and fandom
I was thinking about their differences and that to me skyrim's magic feels more "natural" compared to oblivion's. I liked the magic system in oblivion and it's creativity/depth compared to skyrim, but beyond the gameplay I feel like skyrim's magic feels more like what you would expect from a fantasy world, whereas oblivion's is more of a game mechanic, such as "absorb X points of Speech", "Fortify Mercantile" or "Drain Attribute". In the game they work very well, because they rely on a game skill or an attribute. But in the lore or for RP reasons, you wouldn't want to refer to these game mechanics, you don't want to hear about X points of skill or attributes.
Now don't get me wrong, magic damage points exist in skyrim as well, but not the drain/absorb/negate skill attribute mechanics, as well as others that I might have forgotten.
I'm ranting about this and I was wondering if others felt the same, or if I just have a narrow vision of magic in fantaisy.
