Late enrollment

Hi guys!

I graduated from CSN many moons ago and now my kids are starting up there. My 17/18 year old submitted his application a few weeks ago and hasn't received his NSHE ID yet.

We are going to call the help desk for it but after receiving it, what are the best steps to get him into some courses this semester? Orientation, etc?

Don't complain about helicopter parenting. He had some things he needed to work on after graduation and now he's ready to step out into college. I KNOW how frustrating the admin stuff can be (went to UNLV as well and it was just as frustrating.)

We've filed for FAFSA, need to file for his Chapter 35 benefits (that was part of the delay on my end bc we were waiting on the VA, ETC.)

Can anyone give me a CSN for dummies list of what we need to knock out? Oh, the english test.

My other kid is a transfer so she's a bit ahead of the game. Thanks!

My Prince

When Prince came home-- we knew 2 things.

  1. She was a boy. I wanted a boy bc they are brighter in colors.

  2. She was captive bred. This is what I asked and what I was told.

Neither of these were true and while number one meant her name is more ambiguous (but how apropo!), number two nearly cost her life.

However I posted a pic to Reddit and instead of people giving valid advice (okay, one did), I read: "This must be rage baiting. That's a dead uro."

And another comment or two that was nasty as heck. Not advice. Not help. Not even, "Hey, she prob needs to go to the vet and get an exam bc she's prob wild caught. Oh haha and she's prob a girl."

Instead, I checked in with one of the Uro experts online and said what do I need to do? Vet check. Fecal. Hope.

We did the vet checks. We did the fecal.

She lost weight, she dehydrated, she just was disappearing in front of our eyes.

Fecal was clean. Vet said she was good. She was active at the vet every time.

So... I dewormed her anyways. Heat can kill parasites and although current tests should be able to catch most, maybe they missed it? I had to go with common sense. Fecals aren't 110% and not all vets are truly reptile savvy (we went to one that we were told was. She was very kind. Thorough. But... maybe she just wasn't the best uro vet?)

Now...

20 grams in gains but more-- she acts normal. Sassy, very active, and boy, she can eat.

When you're tempted to be a complete butt on the board, recall there are real people with real pets behind their screens. I love my brat. She... hey, look. I saved her so I'm going to say she loves me. She still has gains to make imho but she's on the right path.

Advice always welcomed. Assholes not.

Feeding 6 month old bearded

Hi everyone!

What is your feeding schedule for 6 month old juvvies? I'm seeing conflicting info and it's a bit confusing. Greens and supplements, I'm assuming twice a day but how many bugs? I know it depends on the type too. Yeeks.

My new girl that I'm waiting on... Jujubee.
