i kid you not when I say as soon as I got pulled I actually lost all brain power. What is the highest form of rage bait in ow and why is it lifeweaver mains. It even crossed my mind to just close the app and gtfo ow for the day😹😹.

Hit the pink rank at the end of last season. i only climbed to C5, before I got hit with the loss streak at the start of this season. usually when hitting any new rank it comes with a pretty solid loss streak afterwards And that’s exactly what happened. I went from C5 with a no win loss streak all the way down to GM3 on both roles. although knowing I could hit champ once gave me the confidence to keep playing. I eventually went on a winstreak on both roles back to C5 and then almost hit C3.
feels pretty good climbing as a solo queuer vs so many stacks in this rank, plus I did it 0 comms. tbh as long as you play consistently and don’t tilt you can climb.
I just switched from ps5 to Xbox like 6 months ago, I’ve recently bought this game again and have been trying to find games for maelstorm. sometimes the queues are fast sometimes they’re long ash.
if anyone wants to add me and run some maelstrom lmk. I usually play 1 maelstrom run in the morning and 1 in the evening. so I’m always inviting whoever is on. also Ive been playing since the games releas, have everything unlocked, level 10 prestige all ops. diamond almost every maelstrom. look to add experienced players.
I’m tired of waiting in queues for 10 min just to have a leaver or inexperienced player.
the ranks are not inflated you’ve just stagnated. In season 13 to 15 I was a diamond player, from Season 16 to 18 I was masters, from season 19 to season 1 reign of talon I was GM, season 2 till now ive been champ
recently a lot and i mean a lot of ow subs have the “matchmaking is so inflated rn“ posts, i sort by new and almost always see 2 or 3 of these posts every day. saying “I’ve been diamond or master(insert any rank above silver) and for some reason ranks are to inflated. I keep seeing players make fundamental mistakes, or I keep seeing freshies with boosted accs“.
when I was diamond and climbed to masters yk what players I was facing the same players that also climbed from diamond to master, when I was master and climbed to GM I faced the same players in GM lobbies, and so on for GM to champ. In each instance the ”good” players(players who have the capacity to improve and out play those in the same rank) climbed along side me. the players I faced in diamond all those season ago I still see some of them in GM champ as they climbed at the same time.
what a lot of you players don't understand about rank inflation is if everyone’s rank is inflated and you stay stagnant With 0 progress, you won’t have better games you’ll have worse games. because now (insert any rank above silver) there Are new players in your rank that might play worse or even better then what you know,they also reached your rank by through grinding comp not “inflation”.
if everyone’s rank is inflated, NO ONE IS! if you've Been stuck in the same rank and don’t care to improve then great who cares but you can’t say the players in your rank are inflated because you've been stuck there for so long you except a certain level of skill. as players climb and get better you’ll start seeing different gameplay choices and different skill levels even if that’s in “your diamond/masters“ rank.
I’ve been hovering gm1 Supp/dps since 3 seasons ago, champ 5/4 since last season. when I say that solo queue is hell, I mean solo queue is quite literally not even fair.
yesterday I faced a 3 stack all champ 2 smurfs on gm3 accounts, for 4 games Ina a row because the player pool is so small I get matched against them every game. they proceed to dominate the lobby all games every game to the point where I just get off the game. Then today in the morning I had 4 more games against another 4 stack, that jus go hard counter to me every game, I’m a hitscan player so they spam Dva or ball and dive me every fight when I swapped to Mei or cass they counter swapped me again. jus now I HAD ANOTHER 3 games against the a 4 stack 4 games Ina row that cant help but play every counter to my hero pool.
so what do I actually learn from this? how is solo queueing at this high of a level fair when everyone else is in a group. the worst part is these stacks will intentionally have a friend go on a lower rank account, so that way they get easier lobbies. meaning if im gm1/champ my team mates might be low/mid gm, because they have a Smurf account.
the reason i dont think stacking is fair becuase, ive played vs all these stacks when they solo queue. everytime they solo queue i usually roll them, not trying to boast or anything but genuinely like since so few player are in these ranks i see them everytime i play and they aren’t somehow magically better then me. i win some games and lose some when they solo queue. but as soon as its the weekend and these players get into 3 4 stacks, it makes the lobby 10x harder.
i dont think this is fair in terms of matchmaking at all, they Get Smurf accounts in their stack to make their games easier, play like absolute apes against me and then proceed to trash talk me. Like how is this fair to solo queuer? they need a stack to win games that they lose to me when they solo queue.

found a clip from 3yrs ago when I used to play on console. I swapped to pc around that time and have just now climbed and hit champ5.
ngl I miss the sillyness of console sometimes a lot of good memories of just doing the funniest strats and enjoying the game for what it was. these days it’s jus a sweatfest,
I made it to champ 5 dps and champ 4 supp last season. I started playing from ow1 where I was gold, ow2 I climbed to plat then diamond and so on. With every previous rank I climbed there were so many mistakes I could exploit or take advantage of. even in low GM I found that players make way more mistakes/bad positioning that you can punish.
reaching champ and all those punishable mistakes are gone, I can’t find openings. i know what to do but my aim and execution isn’t there anymore. these champ players are just to good in terms of converting lost fights into wins. playing perfect cover an positioning, meanwhile the time where I do find an opening for a kill or a play it’s like a slit second.
how does one go about learning how to play in this Elo? its not even the same game anymore lol this rank is jus beyond insane. i gotta 9 to 5 so its not like I have all the time in the world to just spend queueing up and learning. what are my options though if I want to improve?
