Looking for views on reporting a manager through an anonymous Speak Up/NAVEX channel
I’m considering raising a concern about my manager through my company’s Speak Up process, which is handled by NAVEX as a third party.
The concerns are mainly around:
What I believe is repeated favouritism towards one particular person in the team.
Limited focus on the development and progression of other team members.
Concerns around psychological safety and how people feel about challenging or raising issues with the manager.
A management style that, in my view, focuses more on internal politics/gossip than team delivery.
Similar concerns about management, development and team environment have apparently been reflected in survey conducted by company roughly the past 12 months.
I’m trying to be objective and would only report specific things I have personally observed rather than making accusations about the manager’s motives.
My main questions are:
Would these be considered reasonable concerns to raise through a Speak Up/whistleblowing channel, or does this sound more like a normal management/HR grievance?
If I report anonymously and the investigation finds that the evidence isn’t strong enough, could there be any negative consequences for me?
How does the investigation normally work when the person being reported provides a different version of events?
Has anyone here used NAVEX or a similar anonymous workplace reporting system? How was your experience?
I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have actually gone through a similar process, rather than just general opinions.

Survey completed and nothing major flagged. Searches result expected by end of august.
My seller has raised enquiries these days and he is not sure about dates.

I have two months notice in current tenancy so if I put notice today my last day would be mid of October.

Should I give notice today then?

I booked level 2 survey on 6 years old property. Friends saying you don’t need to book for such new property. Since bank valuation has gone smooth so no need to do survey. I am still in cooling off period. Should I cancel?

My solicitor confirmed my searched booked today and i booked survey myself today.
I am worried about overlapping time of tenancy and mortgage. I have two months notice in line with rent due date.

I pay rent on 17 of each month. If I handover notice today then last day would be 17th of October which is 9 weeks far.

I am buying a 6 years old property so can I assume that survey and searches will come all good so just hand over notice? I know I can not control all variables but is there a better / smarter way of minimising overlapping period?

Fuel not high octane.

My bank valuation should be available next week. I am buying 6 years old property. If valuation comes good then should I still go for RICS survey 2 ?

Does bank valuation covers any issue in property like leakage etc?

Managing two lead engineers. One is white and other asian. Both are smart and carry strengths in different areas.
White one(female )is culturally embedded in company and super good at presentation and point scoring rather problem solving. She manage people well and articulate things easily.
Asian (male) is having massive experience of different countries and a problem solver with strong technical background. His connectivity with people is not as good as others.

Both are rivals to each other and every time sit in meetings or work together. They both get envy of each other and couldn’t work productively.

Assigning different project is not an option.
Tried sorting out things but ended up in huge escalation and both are super smart and start bullying each other which ends up
In team credibility and image impacting issue.

What are possible options to make it work?

Quite new to house buying. I am not sure who will arrange survey of the property? Is it solicitor job or it’s my responsibility as a buyer?

Offer accepted last week and applied mortgage this week. Searches will start next week. No idea about chain of seller ( estate agent told me it’s small chain but i don’t trust estate agents).

Question:
My money is parked into Stocks and Shares ISA. My plan is to move money from ISA to NS&I for at least 30 days so I can qualify for next draw just to try my luck before moving it to solicitor account.

Considering WK 1 is the week when my offer was accepted. Now based on realistic timeline when should i move money to NS&I to qualify for at least one draw.

I am new to UK and especially Birmingham i have never lived but job is the reason i have to be in Birmingham.

I am a muslim and i will be honest. My time in UK is so far so good. Every person has treated me nicely and politely but what’s going on social media I have never witnessed Alhamdulillah.

UK is one of the best place to live I would say.

I am from management. I worked 8 hours last year and my manager tried his best but he couldn’t pay me OT for this for a politics going in upper offices.

He offered me time in lieu for this.
Can I contest this decision and ask for OT money rather Time in Lieu according to UK laws and regulations?

Just visited a property in west midland and property was 10/10. It was the best house in the street.

While we were there we witnessed a neighbour guy in a very rough condition walked outside property and old sofa outside’s his property. He was shouting and walking like a drunk person and went outside street.

We checked with neighbours otherside of property to ask about that neighbour and they said we don’t know anything about them. Looks like they want to hide something.

I made an offer which was rejected and house went sold stc on right move. I rang estate agent and made a revised offer (higher than what it was sold for). Agent asked me to wait so he can check with Seller.

Is there any chance of getting acceptance in this case?

Hi Ya, I am a FTB. If offer accepted and i hire a solicitor/conveyancer and later on seller unable to buy next property(chain issue) and I decide to pull out and look for another property.

Who is responsible/liable to pay my solicitor/conveyancer fees in this case?

Hi everyone,i lead a team of 2 people and for past 6 months another colleague of mine who is also leading a team of 2 is continuously negative feeding boss about myself and my team. She is super negative and my boss being very near to me in past but now she has moved him away from me.

She picks topic and play politics in every single matter. Before she joining our team , i was getting top projects and now she has moved myself and my whole team to bare minimum value projects.

Problem is that she is a girl so i don’t want to confront her. My boss being too much influenced by her ( I don’t know why). My boss told me that if I need main projects then go speak to her and convince her. This really pissed me off. My team is demotivated and continuously applying for jobs in other teams

Myself M36 is prone to masturbation for 15+ years. It’s so uncontrollable that it I sit alone anywhere and I have mobile then my brain pushes me to open po\*n and physical movement of hand and then game over. I regret after that a lot.
