For those who left a career they liked, how was the adjustment to being a SAHP?
My partner and I have been talking seriously about me staying home with our kids. We’ve gone over the financial and practical side of it, and I think it could be the right choice for us.
The part I’m more nervous about is the mental adjustment.
I’m used to work giving me a pretty clear sense that I finished something or got better at something. With kids, it seems possible to be busy all day and still look around at night and wonder what you actually did.
For anyone who left a career to stay home, did that part take some getting used to? What helped?
