Does this look off?

I need pants for school and my legs are built oddly large so it’s hard to find a good fit; my waist is like a 33, but the inseam is like a 35-36, my calves are big asf and the pants catch somewhat at the calves, and my thighs are also muscular so the pants start out wide at the thighs, taper at the knees, and flare at the calves. But because of the waist and thighs not being proportional, my crotch area looks like that and I was wondering if that looks off? Or rather if anyone else would think much of it?

What do people find enjoyable with beach vacations?

My family has been deliberating where to go on vacation this year, and we are all over the place. My parents are getting older and can’t do the stuff we used to do, but me and my siblings are confused what we would do on a random beach.

When I ask this, I’m not referring to places like Myrtle beach that you could enjoy without ever touching the beach, I’m referring to the random beaches in Florida along the gulf, or the random beaches in Europe. I’m from Michigan and idk if the random Florida beaches are a metro Detroit thing, but here it’s like crazy how many of my friends go down to somewhere like “rosemary beach, Florida” for a week. Like what do you even do there?

When they post online their trip, it’s literally just them sitting at the beach one day, and then a photo of their dinner outfit at an overly expensive seafood restaurant. I understand vacation is simply a break from your everyday life and its responsibilities, but at the same time I’m struggling to understand how sand castles, tanning, and dinner everyday is enjoyable

Do people start their medical careers in the state they matched residency?

“I am not asking for medical advice.”

I’m looking to become a physician one day and I am still learning the process after high school.

What I want to know is for people who match residency in another state, do they start their career in that state? For example I live in Michigan so say I go undergrad and med school at UofM but match residency at northwestern, is it common for me to simply stay in Illinois and live out there for the foreseeable future rather than move back home? I realize in this case It could be quite easy to move back to Michigan considering it’s a 4.5 hour drive, but do people care to do that?

And what about the people who match across the country, like say me matching at stanford: do people like that move back? Surely they stay in California right?

Does anyone else’s tape always rip in this spot too?

I tape my stick before every game, and around every 1-1.5 skates. I skate like 8 times a week and yet my tape is always ripping at the heel. I was wondering if I’m going to far back on the blade or if it just happens

Edit: consensus seems to be a wrong lie, but how do I know my lie? All the sticks I get I never see anything about lie, and the last time I’ve seen a stick with a lie is my nexus gel from like 2020. Also I have an extension in stick because my stick is like at my neck on skates which isn’t for me.

Camera zoom for photos

I recently upgraded my phone from a 14 to a 17PM, mainly for the size of the phone and I got it for basically nothing with my phone plan. Now I’m going on vacation soon and want to take great photos, the best possible on an iPhone, but then I come across this on TikTok.

Like it has a 40x zoom yet if I use anything besides 0.5,1,2,4, and 8x then the photo will be trash? Like is this true?

Do extensions make the stick less durable?

I have long arms and like the feel of an extension, and since adding carbon ones to my ft8 pro 75 flex and 87 flex tracer, both have broken in the shaft. My ft8 broke off a draw, which I’ve always broken ccm sticks in the blade, but as for my tracer it broke today over someone’s shoulders which I’ve never done with a tracer, usually 5 sided sticks break in the lower shaft. I’m moving to a wood extension as we speak now just in case it’s the carbon extensions that suck

How to fit the power forward role?

I’m a junior in high school and I play for one of the best high school hockey programs in my state and I’m trying for a spot on the main varsity team (it’s a private school and we have like 50-60 kids in the program across 3 teams), Last year I was on our second varsity team and I was first line.

I’m on main varsity for the summer league, but after our last tournament he had short meetings with all of the players who aren’t definitely on var 1, me being one of them. The coach likes me a lot (more than he should) , and he said straight up to me this: 1. He’s not going to put me on varsity 1 to be a fourth liner, it would have to be like a top 6 forward role and 2. He NEEDS me to be a power forward 3. He said if I do fill the power forward role he needs he says he’d easily see me on the first line. That being said, in regards to #3, he said that’s a big step I would need to take, and not to focus on that too much.

As for the main question of the post, what exactly entails being a PWF? (I’m 6’1, 185 off skates) Like I know it’s playing physical, but what are the characteristics of a PWF, and what can I do to improve my ability in the role?
