CD or physical media stores in Bangalore?

Are there any stores in Bangalore/Bengaluru that sell music or movie CD's or BluRays?

Places where you can get old albums/collector boxes?

Or is it no longer a thing cause of streaming and excessive customs?

We need to bring back and promote music-album CD culture!

Getting sick of all these digital music subscriptions. I do enjoy the convenience of having the music with me wherever and whenever. But they're always lower quality (compression) and rely on monthly/yearly payments.

Even USB's designed (like in Daft Punk's - Random Access Memory box) in the album's themes containing high quality files would be great. But would be ridiculously expensive cause of all the A.I. stuff going on. CD's are cheaper to produce.

You could find CD's everywhere up to 10 years ago. Now it's turned into a collector's item with over inflated prices. The situation is especially horrible in a country like "INDIA" where the government is already allergic to anything produced outside "INDIA".

CD players in devices have pretty much gone extinct. Even the BluRay players in gaming consoles are seeing it's days numbered. Miss having them included in cars infotainment systems.

Music CD's developed personal and physical connections with it's consumers. CD's had amazing laser engravings, come in wonderful cases or boxes with those little booklets, and if you paid more, you'd get more collector's items. They sort of incentivize you to listen to all the songs in the album which the artists worked so hard on instead of cherry picking just a few to use on social media posts.

CD's ensure permanent records and don't get tampered with later through powerful people or groups. They can never be withheld from you through failed payments.

I admit there are artists who still sell CD's. But it's now become this niche thing and is harder to find.

CD's do have their issues. As in the nature of it being physical media, you'll have to carry it around. It does scratch over time and some loose their data if handled poorly. But they were never that expensive to replace.

This is a bit of a rant from my side. I just miss having CD's cause I never had the chance to buy them or witness that era.

What do you all think? Probably will get downvoted a lot. But that's part of the reddit experience I guess XD

Holy Inflation, Batman! - NVIDIA MSI GeForce RTX 5090 - Amazon India

Gaming has gotten unreasonably expensive. These GPU's now only make sense for professional work (eg. simulations, AI/ML training, 3D animation...etc.) where the returns are worth it 😭

Gamers can't even rely on Playstation now that they plan to remove physical ownership (CD's). Cloud gaming through Xbox Game Pass and Nvidia GeForce Now being the only viable ways to play graphically intensive games in India.

What do you think of this pricing 🤑🤑🤑

EDIT: As others have mentioned rightly in the comments. This is a limited edition GPU. Hence, the price. Regular 5090's cost around 4.5L to 5L which is still a lot.

Citlali's new outfit - Thoughts?

Genshin does a great job adding lore to each outfit they release (costs as much as real clothes unfortunately).

Personally prefer the original design as it felt unique and fit quite well into Natlan's theme.

The new outfit, while looking good aesthetically, just feels like something from ZZZ, Honkai or NTE. Just another generic Kawai/Cute outfit. A lot of the alternate skins have had this issue unfortunately where they don't seem like they were designed or made in Genshin's world.

Anyway, these are all my personal opinions. What's your thoughts about the new Citlali outfit?

Life is not worth what Natalists claim it to be

My argument for why life is not worth it.

-----------‐--------------------------------------------------

People go around throwing this "life is a gift" notion.

But nothing in life verifies this. People's, and literally every creature's, lives are treated as disposable and to be used to benefit others lives.

People are being used in organizations to make management, owners, founders, shareholders...etc. rich through persistent exploitation of their employees, resources and partner companies.

Some animals are domesticated and grown just to end up being consumed.

Plants are grown and cared for herbal use, or to consume vegetables and fruits. Which is mostly alright and sort of fulfilling. But only plant species that provide certain value get this treatment. And when there's big companies buying up land and cleaning ecologically rich forests to grow corn 🌽

We constantly have to go through exams and tests for school, college and work. Proving how worthless we are without certain knowledge and without agreeing to provide value to others lives.

Personal and family relationships hinge on the value you provide. They're never unconditional and always expect something in return. They may be unconditional for a while and in some really best cases. But very rare.

It's a never ending cycle of valuing strangers 😔 to get money for what we want.

Is media (movies, video games...etc) trying to push Natalism?

I've always wondered why story driven media always focuses so much on "love" and starting families with happily ever after endings even though real life barely turns out that way.

This seems especially prevalent in movies for kids. Even the Shrek franchise which was famous for its unconventional stories and story telling.

The closest we've seen to the opposite was a dialog on having kids in the movie "Se7en".

Video games (especially from Asia) seem to be doing this through fan service or having cute kids in them (eg. Genshin Impact, NTE, Wuthering Waves, Stellar Blade, Death Stranding, Pragmata, Resident Evil 9). Which could be likely since they're having or going to have a population crisis.

I could be wrong and these are just media that gained popularity for other aspects like great story telling, graphics, art style, music...etc. And they happened to have some Natalism in it.

Offline discussion with friends or family on antinatalism?

Hey all 👋

Have you discussed with people you are close with on not wanting to be born and the general suffering that life offers? (with little joy being used by so many as justification for life).

Have those discussions been good discussions or full blown arguments?

Have they changed your mind? Or Maybe they felt guilty or frustrated?

Side discussion 🎮. Why did Elisabeth Sobeck restart life again in the Horizon video game series 😅😂

Does the suffering that everyone in both games go through (Ted Faro especially though he sort of deserved that) justify sustaining it through GAIA?

Klipsch - Home theater pricing - India

As in the picture, this whole setup costs roughly 10 lakh / 1 million rupees in India. That's roughly 10,500$ as of the time of this post.

Does all this actually cost this much, or is the seller overcharging, or is it all just taxes and import duty?

Anyone who has bought these in India and got it for a better price? Cinebels also seems to be the only dealer in India.

What would this setup cost in other regions like America, Europe, Australia, or even other Asian countries like China or Japan?

Exploring some potential reasons on why Anti Natalism doesn't completely solve the problem of "existential suffering"?

Been going through Anti-Natalism videos and discussions online. There's a lot of sense in consciously not creating life. This sentiment has been quietly growing throughout the world and population statistics confirm this. Despite all the progress we humans made throughout centuries, life is still a burden. In 2026, Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, constant lay offs, unstable careers, billionaires hoarding money, free speech oppression....etc. has fueled this sentiment.

  1. But no matter how much or how many feel this way, there will always be religious, poorest and richest sections of societies that feel creating life is justified. They will eventually be the dominant societies as usual. And also every creature other than humans, cause unfortunately there aren't any non-human philosophers yet.

  2. Getting hypothetical here. Assuming 95% of every human being decides to not have off spring. Would the 5% find a way to replace deficiency in labor through Robots or artificially produced humans/babies (like in that movie 'Logan')? Essentially negating anti-natalist efforts?

  3. Does anti-natalism only work when a relatively small portion of human society follows it? Not having off-spring doesn't mean you stop consuming things that are a result of life.

  4. It's clear we cannot end life of all living creatures in the universe, making technological progress the only option we have. And that can only be done effectively when off-spring are part of the equation, right?

None of these points mean having kids without a game plan is justified. These points are probably stupid and in typical reddit fashion is going to get me a lot of hate. But my stupidity is reason enough to have these discussions and to improve my understanding of people's views.

Honestly, what's going on with Indian stocks (since 2024)?! 2026 shows no signs of improving!

The Indian stock market has been in bad shape for so long now. I know it's not just India going through a rough time now, but interested in exploring what specifically is affecting India.

There's some random stocks/companies I've never heard of that gain around 15% in a day but are in the minority.
