Need help identifying my great-great-grandfather, possibly an Italian immigrant to Espírito Santo, Brazil

I'm trying to identify my great-great-grandfather, Francisco Cirilo (or Cyrillo) de Paula.
According to two distant cousins (who don't know each other), he arrived in Brazil by ship, probably in Espírito Santo, where the family settled. The problem is that I can't find any immigrant records for anyone with that name.
I've seen his name written as:
* Francisco Cirilo de Paula
* Francisco Cyrillo de Paula
* Francisco Cirillo de Paula
I'm starting to think that "Cirilo de Paula" wasn't his original Italian surname, and that it may have been changed after he arrived in Brazil.
One thing that also caught my attention: one of the witnesses on my grandmother's marriage certificate was Maria Delfior, who belonged to the Dal Fior family. Years later, one of my aunts took a DNA test and matched with someone descended from that same Dal Fior family. I don't know if this is just a coincidence or if it points to some connection between our families.
