Yeeted may 21, ended up asking to stay overnight in the hospital

I spoke with my sister beforehand saying I was kind of scared to go home that night. And she said that she completely agreed. So when they called her to come and get me, she asked what my pain was like, and I was still really in a lot of it and she said, I think it might be best for her to stay because she doesn't have too much up at home. My parents are older adults, but they're taking care of my five year old so it would be a lot on everyone. I'm really glad I did.Because those first twelve hours are really scary. When I first got out, I absolutely needed a strong pain reliever. Things I figured out fast:

1 I hurt way worse than I thought I was going to.

2 My right side hurt so much more than my left side.

3 I feel like it's too big of a surgery to go home without calling a million times with questions.

4 My nursing statt are absolute angels. I definitely could not have done this first night without them.

5 I'm thankful. My sister was able to advocate for me.

6 I'm still really hungry.

  1. The pain makes me clench. My muscles, which makes it hurt more.

I honestly cannot imagine doing this at home. How did you guys do it at home? What did you do when you got scared? Have any suggestions. I have read this app so many times but I was not prepared still. Mentally or emotionally really. It's one wild ride.

Went for the shorter layers , thoughts?

Aside from looking like a sweaty ozzy when my hair is wet (which is nothing new lol) I said "short layers" instead of doing just a tiny bit of long layering at the bottom. So an official curly cut lol. It's my first time.and I can't decide haha. Also I'm going bald. Thanks!

Routine: wash with dry bar Agua Fresca shampoo, leave in curl smith multi conditioner, kerastase volume mouse on top, Camille rose curlmaker gel, scrunch with towel, diffuse a bit

Retail brand: Amazon clear round short generic box of 500 lol

I bought a gel kit off Facebook. I did the whole shebang. Clear nail with gel glue (dashing dive, feels kind of rubbery, pretty cool) But with all the layers etc it took like maybe two hours? Usually press ons take me 15 mins. Everything is on pretty good but my index fell off. I couldn't get the glue over the whole nail then it cured and I couldn't get it off so I thought, eh let's see. I'm sure my prep was much better than usual.so I wonder if these really do.stay on longer lol. It was fun.

I have late stage ablation failure. So I have multiple fluid pockets throughout my uterus and a lot of scar tissue. The doctor said there is no reason to keep my cervix, and that it lowers my cancer risk and I won't have any bleeding whatsoever, but i'm very worried about so many anatomical changes. Also I worry about my pelvic floor. I'm considering asking to leave my cervix. Although I suspect he will again strongly disagree with me and say that I will not like the outcome. And that not having any bleeding and not having to go get pap smears will be worth the recovery, and the change in feeling of where my bladder is etc. Please.let me know!

Q- about four weeks out, can i go to, and enjoy a wedding and dance a few slow dances? The week before I would be flying to the Chicago area. (So three weeks) to go on a rest retreat and then attend a friend's wedding. It's about a 1.5 hr drive. I will have been resting. Basically non stop for the week before. I don't drink, and im not driving so I can take pain meds if I need them. But I also don't plan on taking narcotics.too much (hopefully a nerve block?) because they make me feel extremely depressed.

Details:

Hi all. I'm 41, having a complete hysterectomy, so ovaries stay, uterus and cervix out. I believe it is a three point incision robotic procedure. With the uterus being pulled out my vagina. I knew I would need it but didn't really ....like maybe i thought the pain was in my head. Well it was not. I had tubal ligation and ablation in 2021 and it's late failed with too many pockets of tissue and fluid behind scar tissue to do anything about the pain other than hysterectomy. I was hoping to fly three weeks post op and then go to a wedding four weeks post op, and do mostly nothing at all other than those two things. Any advice would be helpful. I could post pone two months but I'm just ready for it to go. I can't imagine the lain being worse that it fracking is already. Ty ty!!!
