Yeeted may 21, ended up asking to stay overnight in the hospital
I spoke with my sister beforehand saying I was kind of scared to go home that night. And she said that she completely agreed. So when they called her to come and get me, she asked what my pain was like, and I was still really in a lot of it and she said, I think it might be best for her to stay because she doesn't have too much up at home. My parents are older adults, but they're taking care of my five year old so it would be a lot on everyone. I'm really glad I did.Because those first twelve hours are really scary. When I first got out, I absolutely needed a strong pain reliever. Things I figured out fast:
1 I hurt way worse than I thought I was going to.
2 My right side hurt so much more than my left side.
3 I feel like it's too big of a surgery to go home without calling a million times with questions.
4 My nursing statt are absolute angels. I definitely could not have done this first night without them.
5 I'm thankful. My sister was able to advocate for me.
6 I'm still really hungry.
- The pain makes me clench. My muscles, which makes it hurt more.
I honestly cannot imagine doing this at home. How did you guys do it at home? What did you do when you got scared? Have any suggestions. I have read this app so many times but I was not prepared still. Mentally or emotionally really. It's one wild ride.
